It seems as though you cannot open a financial newspaper or watch a financial news program these days without someone suggesting that a significant pullback in the equity markets in the short term is inevitable. This leads me to wonder why investors are so skeptical when many economic reports
So for the laying down shots, I had her laying with her feet toward the tree. The top of her head was angled toward the brightest part of the sky (so as not to up-light her). That would be toward where I'm standing taking this pic. For the color shot, I had her looking at me toward the sidewalk. For the b&w, I had her turn her head toward the wall, for more shadowing and drama. Hopefully that makes sense! :) Amazing locations don't always look so 'amazing' in real life...you just need a little spot that photographs well, and this spot with the nice, green overgrown grass worked for me!
My entry to "Wacky Races" contest. Captain BrickBeard on his small vessel. Slow but powerfull :)
Wicked racing machine built with pullback brick.
My previous experience with the products of Dream Becomes True was back in late 2014 when I bought some of their 1/64 prestige themed cars from a souvenir shop in Gran Canaria. All were unlicensed of course but they did have an air of realism about them being very well cast for the price and most featuring opening parts and pullback motors. I've now discovered they also make amongst other castings a very fine looking Siku copied Mercedes-Benz Atego truck which is available in several Emergency themed and construction guises including this Police themed vehicle. Part of a four vehicle set bought directly from China. Mint and boxed.
The Keenan Switch crew and Marty Fair have determined the Erie F9A units are good to go and they pull them back to the switch at Hinsdale.
Who cares whether the Chinese Police use Lamborghini Urus or not, I suspect they dont. At this end of the diecast market authenticity takes a back step to play value and thats where this unlicensed Pengying casting does well.
Opening front doors and pullback mechanism are obviously a nod to young children though its large sunroof does mean its roof lightbar looks very crooked!
Part of an Extreme Hunters branded four vehicle set. Mint and boxed.
It makes a refreshing change to find a cheapo model of the iconic AEC Routemaster bus which ISNT plastered with "Welcome To London" type liveries! When the real vehicles were taken out of service many were sent over the World to continue their lives as tourist transport and so this Welcome To Beijing version is actually quite apt. Made by Y.T.G.F. it features a weighty all metal body, a pullback motor and neat painted detailing, very impressive for a cheapo :-)
Part of a four vehicle set. Mint and boxed.
This is my diecast of a 1997 Ford Econoline Motorhome, pull-back action. It comes with little accessories such as furnitures, bed, cupboards and etc, where they can be assemble together. Made in China. :)
This steam engine is my 4th alternative model built out of LEGO Technic set 42106. It features moving piston-rods and pullback motor. Building instructions will be available at www.buildinst.cz/en soon.
Small Lego car based on a Lego Shell platform with a pull-back motor. Car in motion you can see here: youtu.be/-c6oZF5w1pU
I'd like to think this design is actually based on a real vehicle though I suspect it could also be purely generic too. Made by Pengying it is of decent quality for a budget diecast with a full interior, pullback function and some rather snazzy looking wheels. I do find using the Greyhound and Scenicruiser branding rather amusing! Part of a four vehicle set sourced recently from China. Mint and boxed.
We regularly purchased 3 or 4 bikes at the Sacramento CHP auction held every six months. All were customized either by customers we resold them to or we chopped them and then resold them. Larry's bike has a 20 over CycleShack girder fork, Weber carb, Paughco one piece pipes, CJ pullback handlebars and VDO mini speedometer. All the parts used to chop this former cop bike came from my chopper shop retail store. Larry Bass ran our Modesto store for a year before moving to the bay area. He and I remained friends, talking by phone weekly, until his death in 2007. photo scanned from 35 year old print
Pullback Motor Drag Racers (These two were my builds. The Black one ran for 5 heats, the Red one never won a race.)

Pullback shot to show my lighting. All bulbs are daylight spectrum CFLs, one in the tall lamp for ambient room light and one in the homemade softbox. (See my DIY Softbox set for how I made it!) It's awkwardly balanced on top of a small box and my tripod, which meant I couldn't put the actual camera on the tripod. I need a better way to position that thing.
Backdrop is pretty paper I bought at the local art supply place, stickytacked to the wall. The black thing is a sheet of foamcore, I ditched it after a couple shots cause I was trying to keep it out of frame anyway.
Chair is American Girl from my childhood, recently rescued from my parents' attic. It's from Kirsten's birthday party set.
Another duplicate Xiao La Car Scania R-Series based casting found in a Chinese bazaar recently where it is sold under the CB Toys Speed & Go brand. Quite accurate and full of play value from its pullback function and fully rotating ladders.
Mint and boxed.
The skeleton robots got carried away by the new movie, and came up with this.

In memory of my dad. Six years gone now.
His custom made 10k gold wedding ring given to me by my mom and my Cross gold pen to give me something else to compose with.

And the best part? This 250 GTO is so cheap you won't even feel blue when it crashes!
And you can modify it!
And you can safely hoon it without anyone revolting and telling you to go to hell and all your reincarnations for putting an ex-Enzo engine and Liberty Walk fenders in it, because it's got a pullback piece.
Guys, you HAVE to get this model. I'm talking to you, Angka. This will be a treat for you.
This helicopter is my second alternative model built out of LEGO Technic set 42075. It features opening windscreen, engine with moving piston and cool spring loaded mechanism for spinning rotors. Building instructions are available at buildinst.cz/en/catalog/detail/265
RMZ City is a fairly new diecast brand introduced by Uni-Fortune Toys which mainly encompasses 1/64 and 1/43 scales. They produce quite an extensive selection of 100% licensed modern vehicles and like Welly its mainly their larger stuff which sees the most shelf action here in the UK. Sadly its 1/64 range barely gets a look in though you can sometimes find them in smaller independent toy and souvenir shops who haven't yet succumbed to HTI generics. Most of their 1/64 castings come in three flavours, basic, premium and premium with pullback motors and its the basic "Junior" selection which you tend to find more often, this BMW M5 being one of them. The casting itself is assuringly accurate and well detailed but like many a Maisto and Matchbox there is no interior. Bought recently from a Toymaster in the seaside town of Cromer. Mint and boxed.
