Quneitra was once a bustling town in the Golan Heights and southwestern Syria's administrative capital with a population of 37,000. The word Quneitra derives from Qantara, or 'bridge', between Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, and Palestine. Known for its abundant water resources, it has been continuously inhabited since the Stone Age. Over the millennia, many peoples, including Arameans, Assyrians, Caldeans, Persians, Greeks, and Arabs have occupied it. St. Paul, it is said, passed through Quneitra on his way from Damascus to Jerusalem.
In 1967, during the six-day war, Israel captured Quneitra. It then became a site of many battles but, except for a brief interlude, remained in Israeli hands until 1974, when a UN-brokered agreement led to an Israeli pullback. Before withdrawing, however, Quneitra was evacuated and systematically destroyed by the Israeli army (based on eyewitness accounts; UN General Assembly resolution 3240 in 1974 condemned Israel's role in its destruction. Israel disputes this account). Many prominent Western reporters, agreeing with the UN and Syrian version of events, saw this as nothing short of an act of wanton brutality — a whole town methodically ransacked, dynamited, and bulldozed.
Various Far Eastern toy companies have copied the Gloster Saro Javelin based Matchbox Airport Fire Truck, the most well known probably being Pioneer who have been producing theirs for at least two decades. One of the most recent discoveries for my collection is this one made by Qizhuo Toys which is a touch bigger than most copies but still as sturdy and with a high metal content.
Obviously designed to be a cheap toy with play value via its pullback function and riding on surprisingly intricate alloy effect wheels.
One of many Qizhuo Toys products found in a Chinese bazaar whilst out in Spain.

Replacing Arlen Ness 1-1/4" Chubby Bars with 8" Pullback to try out the HD Swingback Bars (56039-03)
Just when I thought there can't be anymore Chinese toy companies making their own copies of the Matchbox Airport Fire Tanker I discovered this one in a Chinese bazaar in Spain recently. Quite why such an ugly vehicle has captured the imagination of so many manufacturers I don't know but in typical Chinese fashion once one company copies an original copy then the avalanche of others soon follows!
The name on the packaging is Qizhuo Toys, whether they made it or are just a trading company is something I guess i'll never know for certain. Many Chinese diecast manufacturers have zero interest in being identified or having any sort of brand name or image.
Quality is very admirable and is probably actually better than the Matchbox original. Its a bit bigger and has a high metal content as well as superior looking wheels and a pullback motor.

Russian armored vehicles, are seen on the outskirts of Gori, northwest of the capital Tbilisi, Georgia, Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2008. A small column of Russian tanks and armored vehicles left the strategic Georgian city of Gori on Tuesday, the first sign of a Russian pullback of troops from Georgia after a cease-fire intended to end fighting that reignited Cold War tensions. Welly 1/64
Welly No. 8165 - Pullback
Year: 2001
Color: Yellow with US Flag
This is actually the first ever Welly casting that I got after starting to collect cars again. I had quite a few Welly casting when I was younger but I guess they were all included in the several toy packages that I gave away to other children. Quite surprisingly, I actually haven't managed to encounter any other variation of this Welly casting despite it having numerous variations.
Seenotrettung ist #Unverhandelbar
Menschenrechte sind #Unverhandelbar
Demo in Berlin, 07.08.2021
Demonstration unter den Motti: - Seenotrettung ist #Unverhandelbar - Free the Ships - Stop the Pushbacks - Menschenrechte jetzt! - am 07. August 2021 in Berlin.
Seenotrettung entsteht, fordert viele hunderte Menschenleben jährlich.
3. Ein europäisches Seenotrettungsprogramm etablieren!
4. Sichere und legale Fluchtwege nach Europa einrichten“

Remember the controversy the real Bugatti Veyron caused on its release and the sudden flurry of associated diecasts appearing from nearly every toy manufacturer! Predictably the low end Chinese companies pounced on this 200mph hyper car with huge amounts of crude and unlicensed castings appearing.
T.NA have one in their line up which is rather Siku sized which means a substantial appearance and a decent level of metal content. Rather bulbous in appearance with detailed front grilles, an interior and pullback function.
Mint and boxed.
Pull back view of "business portrait" where I read in one of David's posts about finding backgrounds.
This was before I had any decent strobes. Two very cheap Vivitars, actually one might have even been very generic like a Kalimar or something like that. I was using sync cords and optical slaves (still have both somewhere)
This one's my son's. Diecast Toyota AE86 - Initial D version by MiniAuto. Pullback action, lights and sound. Quite a bundle and good quality.

Macro Monday's Sweet.
Pullback view. Yes, I like to play with my food. Kind of like a zen garden.
This is obviously not a macro photo, that's why it isn't in Macro Monday's pool on flickr.
If I pulled back further and took another photo you'd see the amazing, high tech light containment unit that I used to capture this photo. But the set has been dismantled and m&m's have been dispersed upon the earth. They came from Mars, you know that don't you?

Mommy was due yesterday and so we were lucky to even make this shoot happen. This is baby number 5 and is due to be a home birth, which I will shoot - if I get there on time!
I shot a pullback image to show what was happening off camera for this one!
Chevrolet Camaro 'Croco'. From two sets of three approx 1:64 cars produced for Haribo. The cars have no markings, and have pull-back motors. They could be copies of Mattel or similar products. This is a photo of the boxes: www.flickr.com/photos/adrianz-toyz/53320313447

Finding cheapo Chinese diecasts in Japan was actually more difficult than expected. Pretty much all toy retailers I visited preferred to sell branded more "quality" lines from basic Mainline HW and MBX upwards and with Tomica being so cheap I suppose there isn't much need for ultra budget offerings like this.
Found in a Daiso for just 100Yen and packaged for them so no sign of an actual manufacturer I believe its based on a LaFerrari though I always seem to stumble when trying to identify unlicensed Ferrari castings so I could be mistaken.
Its very non comital on what emergency branch its supposed to be but feels weighty enough with a metal body, attractive wheels and a pullback motor.
