Two sets of three approx 1:64 cars produced for Haribo. The cars have no markings, and have pull-back motors. They could be copies of Mattel or similar products. Sold in the Haribo store in Calais, France. Enquiries made at the Haribo shop in the Ashford outlet mall in December 2023 suggest they have not been available there. See the comments below for identification :)

These cars with slightly different wheels and different decoration appeared in single blister packs, branded Street Racer, and packaged for Poundstretcher. Four are in the same colours as these.
Tian Hong are the kings of Chinese knock offs and have a rather sizeable array of castings which are cheapened copies of the likes of Hot Wheels, Matchbox and even Suntoys and Pioneer!
I have quite a lot of their products in my collection, most as part of multi-sets so I was quite surprised to find a small selection sold as singles at Poundstretcher.
For the princely sum of just 69p you too could have your very own LaFerrari complete with coloured stylised wheels and pullback function ;-p Its definitely a Hot Wheels copy but is obviously unlicensed though casting quality isn't as bad as you might think.

Corgi Mercedes-Benz Sprinter box van Ocado – Lemon.
There are six versions of this which is from the first series, marked ©2008, with pull-back motors.
The second series had ten colours, were packed in smaller card boxes, and the vans had off-white cabs. The designs on the box bodies were less abstract than on this series.

A Scorpion made out of the 42046 - Getaway Racer set. The tail snaps forward, using the pull-back motor. All legs moved independently and saw do the pincers. Head section can tilt up and down. Pictures taken against a background of a mustard-colored jacket to simulate sand without getting me or the LEGOs dirty.
You know you can count on full documentation here, right? This is the side canyon off Negro Bill Canyon that Morning Glory Arch lives in. That's it right-center, looking small in there even though it's not.
There, it's documented.
This is the last MGA photo for this trip, moving on now to more of the main canyon.

The day's hike: A re-investigation of Morning Glory Arch and Negro Bill canyon. It had been years since we'd been in there...

At midday, there's a thin band of shade under the sumac trees where the chooks congregate. I sit in a camp chair and shoot along the fenceline. ISO is 200 to 400, on a 70-300 VR at or near full extension, with subject distance around 5 to 7 feet. The thin sumac foliage produces shafts of light that with luck show up in the picture.
Quneitra was once a bustling town in the Golan Heights and southwestern Syria's administrative capital with a population of 37,000. The word Quneitra derives from Qantara, or 'bridge', between Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, and Palestine. Known for its abundant water resources, it has been continuously inhabited since the Stone Age. Over the millennia, many peoples, including Arameans, Assyrians, Caldeans, Persians, Greeks, and Arabs have occupied it. St. Paul, it is said, passed through Quneitra on his way from Damascus to Jerusalem.
In 1967, during the six-day war, Israel captured Quneitra. It then became a site of many battles but, except for a brief interlude, remained in Israeli hands until 1974, when a UN-brokered agreement led to an Israeli pullback. Before withdrawing, however, Quneitra was evacuated and systematically destroyed by the Israeli army (based on eyewitness accounts; UN General Assembly resolution 3240 in 1974 condemned Israel's role in its destruction. Israel disputes this account). Many prominent Western reporters, agreeing with the UN and Syrian version of events, saw this as nothing short of an act of wanton brutality — a whole town methodically ransacked, dynamited, and bulldozed.

I wanted a new LiveJournal icon, so I asked my friend Dave Hickman to snap a shot of my belt and gi so I could use it. I like the angle we worked out here... part of me want to periodically take a shot of my black belt so I can watch it age over time, but I doubt I will be disciplined in this endeavor.
I didn't realize the extent of the wear on the side of my belt until I looked at this shot. That must mean my pullback is getting better. :)

Generously proportioned Ferrari 458 Italia by a company called Tianna Toys who are more known by their T.NA brand and do in fact offer a rather sizeable assortment of different models, all unlicensed.
Stretching credibility by offering this Ferrari in a Police livery and cementing its role as nothing more than a cheap toy car aimed squarely at young children. Quality is fair for the price with a metal body, interior and pullback function.
Found recently at a huge Chinese bazaar in Vilanova.
