After some years I think i've finally identified not only who makes these cheapo vintage era trucks but also what they are actually based on! I believe a company called Qizhuo Toys based in China are behind them and that they are loosely based on a 1937 Reo Speed Delivery Truck. I am of course happy to be corrected on either ;-p

Chunky but charming with a myriad of body styles which would never ever have been offered on the real vehicle. Its best to treat these as cheap toy cars for a young audience not worried by such inaccuracies. This Fire Engine comes with fully rotating searchlights and lightweight plastic body. Quite crisply cast for its price point and features the obligatory pullback mechanism.

Found in the novelty aimed Ale-Hop store in Sitges.

Pretty self explanatory. We used a gel here to get that pinky look behind her. And we used a strip grid (as you can see from the pull back) to light her entire body from head to toe properly. Pretty cool eh?

Now appearing at Poundstretcher sold under their own Motor Madness brand and at just 69p each is a relative bargain for an unlicensed casting which offers a metal body, full interior and pullback function.

No matter what angle I look at this Ju Xing produced toy bus I still can't identify whether its based on a real vehicle or just purely generic. Entirely believable regardless, so much so that other Chinese toy manufacturers also make very similar looking castings. An inoffensive mix of metal and plastic for its body plus full interior and pullback mechanism.

Despite its entirely believable styling and proportions and the fact other Chinese toy makers produce similar looking castings, I've yet to identify what real vehicle this diecast bus is actually based upon. I suspect possibly a Chinese marque but as ever i'm definitely open to suggestions!

Made by a company called Ju Xing its offered in a sizeable selection of different colours, liveries plus normal and pullback variants.

Anyone who follows me on here and indeed Instagram may be shocked to see a post relating to a diecast aeroplane! I do have several thanks to their inclusion in many airport themed gift sets, mainly from Welly and Realtoy but have never chosen to photograph any.

As a I use Flickr as my online digital database of my diecast collection i've decided to upload pics of vehicles I possess which wouldn't normally interest me such as motorbikes, aeroplanes, overtly generic fantasy vehicles to give a more accurate reflection on whats in my collection and numbers etc...

This "Jumbo Jet" which i'm assuming is an unlicensed Boeing 747 is part of a Chad Valley branded four vehicle set Sainsbury's have been selling for years but recently changed their packaging which was a flimsy excuse to buy another.

The vehicles contained within are made by Daxiang, whether thats the same with this model aeroplane I don't know but its a fairly decent effort for its low price point and one which features a pullback and go mechanism.

This brand is new to me which is why I decided to buy this one. This is a plastic model so it's very light and it also has pullback mechanism. The detailing is pretty good though and you wouldn't even know it's a plastic model just looking at it. This also seems to be licensed as there was a note about Mazda approval on the packaging. It comes in a box packaging, pretty similar to Tomica, but it is tad bit bigger than Tomica. This model in particular didn't fit in a standard Jammers case slot as it was a bit too long so maybe the scale is around 1/60 or something similar.
