Are you tired of winter yet? I am! This beautiful path is located in Memory Grove Park in Salt Lake City, Utah. I took this shot in early November before winter had set in. While we have had a very mild winter, it isn't over yet. I will be glad when spring hits and the green comes back.
I named this shot "Guiding Light" because it seemed as if the orange of the small tree was as a lamp post beckoning me to follow the path. I did and found many other "photo ops" to capture for show on another day.
But, for now, enjoy a taste of fall colors as a sampler of things to come.

Public service isn't easy. When you sign in, you know its going to take you from your family. The word 'holiday' doesnt exist in the dictionary, atleast not when it is supposed to be.
It was lantern festival, and he had to be away from the family, working his ass off, guarding the parade so that it gets conducted peacefully.

While we were driving north from Tórshavn to the G! Festival in Gøta, the festival announced an indefinite weather delay. Magnus, who had passed us on his way north to Eiði, called us to tell about it. On the correct assumption that we did not listen to the radio.
So we visited him in Eiði to wait out the weather there.
At 21:02 the sun suddenly exposed the whitecaps at sea. At 21:14, the festival announced that they would start with Moto Boy at 21:30.

The London Bus is one of London's principal icons, the archetypal red rear-entrance double-deck Routemaster being recognised worldwide. Although the Routemaster has now been largely phased out of service, with only two heritage routes still using the vehicles, the majority of buses in London are still red and therefore the red bus remains an iconic symbol of the city.
In Britain bus-type vehicles used for long distances or where it is not possible to get on at any stop and buy a ticket are always called coaches rather than buses.
In the 2008 London mayoral election campaign, prospective mayor Boris Johnson made several commitments to change the London Buses vehicle policy, namely to introduce a new Routemaster, and remove the bendy buses.
Most local buses within London form a network managed by London Buses, an arm of Transport for London, although most services are operated by private sector companies under contract to London Buses. With the introduction of the London congestion charge in central London and because at peak times the Underground is operating at maximum capacity, many bus service improvements have been undertaken, and central bus services are currently enjoying something of a resurgence.

French people protesting against upcoming reforms bad for the quality of public services. As a result of those reforms, criteria of public service begin to give way to those of profitability. Our state services in France (heath, school, railway...) are among the best services in the world. But all the reforms impulsed by the government aim to slowly replace this very efficient public sector (open to everybody) by a private sector only focussed on financial gains. State-based social services and welfare entitlements are cut back or replaced by market-based provisions available only to those who can afford to pay.
Hundreds of thousands of nurses, teachers and other public sector workers joined forces to march against French President Emmanuel Macron’s reforms all over the country yesterday
