This very large barrel sits outside of the restaurant at Domain Terre de Mistral near Rousset, Provence, France. It looks like the staves have shrunk, and I'm not sure what the original purpose was. It looks too big for a wine barrel, so maybe for crushing the grapes?
Wandering the grounds of a Provence winery after tasting local vintages, I found this lovely storage barn.

Gordes is a commune in the Vaucluse département in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region in southeastern France.
The residents are known as Gordiens. The nearest big city is Avignon.
The territory of Gordes occupies some of "Les Monts de Vaucluse", a group of mountains and hills, part in the valley of the Calavon (a local river) also called the "Luberon Valley".
Voici le temps ou les cigales cymbalisent, craquettent, stridulent ou chantent tous l'été... à l'automne on verra !

I was leaving for my next location when this Intermodal train caught me off guard. I pulled this shot from the video. When I saw this tunnel I didn't think double stacks passed through it. Proved me wrong and I loved it!

To me, this is the best season to visit Provence….Unfortunately, I can’t go there this year…But, every night, when I lay down on my bed, I smell it thanks to the Lavender Pillow that I’ve got from one of the smallest villages in Provence….
