Got this stuff to try today, combined with my heap of other meds.
I hope it works because I went from having brilliant pain relief but very little sleep with Tramadol, to great amount of sleep and absolutely very little pain relief from Morphine in tablet form.
When I sit or lie down with Morphine, I feel little or no pain. When I stand up or walk about with Morphine the pain is excruciating!
I only visited Roxburghe House day centre to see if some of my meds could be cut down. Ended up being given more tablets and virtually no pain control.

The day blooms
The shadow looms.
A few weeks to go
Before the radiotherapy blows,
Zapping those cancer cells
Can it be worse than this testosteroneless hell?
It looks like it will,
so I'll swallow the bitter pill
And together we will see it through
Untill I have paid all my dues.
Day 4 of radiation treatment.
The machine starts its arc from below
And moves around: accurate and slow.
With a whirr and a buzz it begins,
Washing away all of my mortal sins.
It stops again by my right hip,
The gamma rays to zap and zip,
But I feel nothing upon my skin
As I listen, rapt, to the Cageian din.
Then it moves to one o’clock
And my cells radiation docks,
Killing the cancer in my prostate
That has caused me a little trouble of late.
Then moves on: it’s now eleven
And I’m thinking of the plover on the wing: Heaven.
More clicks and buzzes as my eyes close
And my body sinks and I doze.
The linear accelerator moves once more,
Down to my left hip and near the floor.
This is its last port of call,
Then clothes on and down the hall.
This is my treatment for 37 days,
This arcing alien with gamma rays
Will it be my saviour and my psalm
As I lay still and try to remain calm?
But what future havoc will it cause
As it opens and closes my life’s doors?
