Alophia drummondii Really difficult to walk past these plants without taking a shot! It's strange though...as showy as they are, sometimes, they're difficult to see.

If you decide to build this and try it, you should know that the LEGO MOTOR will spin the propeller so fast that it may actually explode! Please wear safety glasses! I speak from experience. This is a fun but potentially dangerous toy! AFOL's only please!
A simple tess, combining rhombus and triangle twists May have been created previously.

An old propeller at the end of my garden in France - granted, a strange thing to have in one's garden, but there you go!

The small one is the basic module concept... The bigger one is the way I actually applied it...
If/when I use this module again I'll probably spread them out a lot more... the tess I already made is a bit too busy I think, that it looks almost random at a glance...

My Pelargonium scent of lemon, if you rub the leaves and only has tiny flowers. But it has a lovely pistil, isn't it?
Sometimes you have to look very close to discover miracles.
This test fuselage (circa 1926) is fitted with Cowl No. 10, the prototype for the first commercial installations. Developed in the PRT to reduce air resistance around a radial engine, the NACA Cowl proved to both lower air resistance and improve engine cooling. It earned the NACA its first Collier Trophy in 1929 and rapidly became a standard appliance for radial engines.

Σε κάνει ν' αναρωτιέσαι...σε πόσα ταξίδια άραγε έχει σύρει το καραβίσιο σκαρί;
Πόσες θάλασσες και πόσα λιμάνια έχει διασχίσει;

Another star with an unusual paper shape. Here I start with a square paper and simply make a 60 degrees fold on one corner.
I can again choose on which side I will have the central part. Go to Propeller Star I to see it on the other side.

Propeller cavitation. Test being carried out on a propeller to study cavitation effects. Cavitation is the formation of bubbles in a liquid due to changes in pressure, as happens in water being churned by a propeller. Studies of cavitation aim to improve propeller design to reduce the turbulence caused by this unwanted effect. Photographed in the Ship Division of the National Physical Laboratory, Teddington, UK. For a set of similar images showing cavitation, see V330/161 to V330/164.
