I've been seeing these pics from this group Run With Scissors doing this 30 day journal challenge. I thought I might give it a go. You follow the prompt of the day and journal it.

This is day 1 where you introduce yourself.

Although you can't see these trees directly, or the sun that is casting their shadow, you know they're there, just as God can be seen in the "shadow" of His influence in our lives.

The last few weeks I seem to be too late with a lot of things, notice things too late. It isn't that I am not interested. Just the opposite. Wanting to do a lot of things at the same time means that it is hard to focus.

I thought it would be a good thing to think about what 'too late' means and how to portray that.

This is what I came up with. Oops! I was too late to catch this glass from falling. Luckily it didn't break.

There are a lot of prompts in this challenge that will stump me, and this one seriously stumped me. Lamb. How do I photograph "lamb." I eventually turned to my bible, and beside it I noticed my Precious Moments Childrens Bible. I hadn't opened that book in years... Probably almost 20 years, actually! I opened it and found the glue drying in the binding so much that the first pages popped out at me. But low and behold... my lamb image.

"The next day he saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, “Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!" - John 1:29

The last two years I did a photo-a-day Lenten challenge for myself. Just a general photo-a-day. This year, I upped the ante and found an actual photo challenge with daily prompts. (It also introduced me to Catholic Sistas, which I look forward to reading more from their site.) Since I am already doing an Instagram Project 365, I will be doing this challenge with my DSLR.

The prominent duo singers have been singing since 1963 and they can sing in multiple languages including Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Sanskrit, Hindi and Marathi. They are known for neat renditions of songs and competent handling of improvisations.

Today I worked from the floor of the guest room so Jack felt some measure of comfort. Day 3 of workers in the house ...

This is my sketch of "Bubbles". I thought of kids with their plastic jars of bubbles, blowing for hours in the sunny summertime.

Photographing unnoticed is hard. I feel a bit awkward when doing it, afraid that someone will notice (suddenly the shutter makes a lot of noise), and also it is not easy to get an interesting shot.

Tonight I was at a wine bar enjoying a glass of good wine and the sunny weather. There were a lot of people outside having fun together. I tried to photograph from underneath the tabletop. This is what came out. (Together with shots of only the table leg in focus :-D).

On Lefkas I found these giants of Bougainville. They were almost trees. Early in the morning I sneaked out to photograph the Bougainville of our landlady.

Our kitchen is a beautiful and cosy place where we spend a lot of hours. It is very very dark though. To bring some color into it I bought some bright and colorful dishtowels earlier this year. The colors and patterns reminded me of flowers and I got the urge to do something creative. I created the ‘Artificial Flower Collection’.
