Day 21 - What You Do // Seeing as I don't have a job as of late, I don't really do much. I spend most of my day on the internet playing games and window shopping, cooking, doodling and brushing my hair. If I lived in a different time with no technology, I'd probably spend a good 2/3 of my day just brushing away.

I've had a few scares with my laptop over the last few weeks which has prompted me to
a) buy a mac
b) start backing up old photos
While sorting through photo files I've found so many old shots that I have never posted to flickr, mostly because I didn't like them at the time (but have come to view them differently now) but also because many of them were taken way before I even knew Flickr existed.
So I've decided over the next few weeks I will start posting some old shots of mine, and where better to start than a photo of myself taken on holiday in Greece almost exactly 7 years ago in June 2003, around the time I started taking an interest in photography.
Feels like an eternity ago...
More to come, starting in the next few days.
*(Credit for this photo goes to my friend David in Dublin, who I was going out with at the time (and who still refuses to join Flickr.) I'm pretty sure this was taken on film, which I must've scanned at some point, seeing as neither of us had a digital camera at the time.)

The style of font speaks volumes about your intention. Don't overcomplicate your choice though. It's important that your font choices look good together. I always recommend combining lots of fonts before settling on a decision.

The ceiling in one of the rooms at Graceland. Fabric covered the walls and ceiling of this room. All I could think about was how it looked so tacky and dated. Everything was so old and nothing NEW. Frozen in time. What would people think about my decorating choices 30 years from now. I couldn't bear to take pictures of the items in the room. But, I wanted to frame a section of the ceiling. If you remove everything else in the room, I think it looks pretty cool.
I have so many favourite songs but I chose just 5 for this prompt. It oculd have ended up as one full page of writing!

Ingredients for Joy = Joni Mitchell's lyric:
"when I forget about me". has always stayed with me since my teens. Life is always better when we forget our own stuff and live in the moment.
In 2008 Eric & I visited Eric's dad in Taiwan. It was an unforgetable holiday. We were promised that the Tai-fun season would already have been passed. It didn't, we encountered three Tai-funs in two and a half week. Didn't have any chance to swim in the Pacific Ocean. Could only look with longing.
i made a special photo-book with all the places we visited in Taiwan: www.jofabi.nl/taiwan2008/
