The Renewal Center promotes the holistic healing of wounded soldiers through the use of a combination of traditional sports medicine and alternative arts therapies. The center focuses on helping soldiers to heal and learn to adapt to their new lives, post injury. The design concept was inspired by the idea that wounds and imperfections are an honest part of a person’s history and what makes them beautiful
and unique.

Climate change in Southeast Asia has been becoming a threat to agricultural production, food security, ecological stability, and sustainable development. Realizing the ongoing climate change issues, ASEAN Member States (AMS) together with international and national research agencies, and the private sector further continue working hand-in-hand to promote Climate-Smart Agriculture (CSA) practices to increase the resilience of the agriculture sector to the changing climate. From this background, the ASEAN Climate Resilience Network (ASEAN-CRN) Workshop on Promoting CSA Practices was held from 27-28 October 2015 at the Sheraton Hotel in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The two-day workshop served as way forward to promote the prioritized best CSA practices among AMS.

Djuana L. Goodwin is promoted to chief warrant officer 5 May 18, 2023, at the Virginia National Guard Sgt. Bob Slaughter Headquarters at Defense Supply Center Richmond, Virginia. Maj. Gen. Timothy P. Williams, the Adjutant General of Virginia, presided over the ceremony and administered the oath of office to Goodwin. Williams was joined by Brig. Gen. James W. Ring, the VNG Director of the Joint Staff, to pin on the new rank. Goodwin was the first Black woman promoted to warrant officer 1 in the VNG in 2001, and she is the first Black woman to be promoted to chief warrant officer 5.
