Norman, Oklahoma - In a heartfelt ceremony, Bradley Hanna, Chaplain, Oklahoma National Guard, was promoted from Lieutenant Colonel to Colonel at the Armed Forces Reserve Center in Norman, Okla., 28 Jun. 2023.
The promotion ceremony was a momentous occasion, highlighting the exceptional career of Col. Hanna and his unwavering dedication to service. The event was well attended by friends, peers and his loving wife, Sherri, and their two sons, Landon and Avery.
Among the distinguished guests was the Adjutant General for Oklahoma Thomas Mancino, who took the opportunity to share his personal experiences working alongside Hanna in Kabul, Afghanistan.
Hanna's wife, Sherri and Mike Wade, the Director of the Oklahoma Association of Free Will Baptist, had the honor of pinning Hanna's new rank insignia. The act symbolized the recognition of his elevated responsibilities and marked a significant milestone in his military career.

India, from its very ancient (Vedic) times has been known for its handicraft skills. Subsequently, Indian manufacturers of handicrafts has been one of the most popular cottage industry of all times, and Indian trade fair provides the right platform to promote this art. Soon Indian manufacturers of gifts captured the market, and the demand for handcrafted items has tremendously increased.
With the advent of gifts show from IHGF international fair, has opened doors to foreign customers and thus the Indian handicrafts industry has become popular on the globe. These gift-fairs display collections of exclusive housewares from different states of India.
Products like brass handicrafts products, bamboo handicrafts products that are designed by craft manufacturers in Uttar Pradesh, Indian manufacturers of gifts handicraft items are, wooden handicraft, animal handicraft, bar accessories, baskets, bath accessories, candle stand, door knob, figures, fire sets, etc. In Rajasthan, it includes beautiful paintings, exclusive designer jewelry, gemstone sculptures, and different types of stone handicraft, wooden handicraft, lamp shades, ornamental dagger, terracotta candle, cloth painting, embroidery painting, marble painting and many more.

The 2nd round of the 2013 Mullingar Road League 5KM Race, Fun Run, and Walk was held in Belvedere House and Gardens, Mullingar, Co. Westmeath, Ireland on Wednesday 8th May 2013 at 20:00. The race follows a completely traffic free course around the trails and paths of Belvedere House. The race is promoted by Mullingar Harriers for the Pat Finnerty Memorial Cup. The weather was much more wintery this evening for the second round and participants had to content with a very cold stiff breeze in some places on the course. As was the case last week there was a fantastic atmosphere as runners and joggers and walkers tackled the undulating course and a tough finish up the hill at the Jealous Wall and the finish line at Belvedere House.

Overall Race Summary
Participants: Approximately 550 people took part in both events with runners, joggers, walkers, and families involved.
Weather: A cold breezy evening with some rain showers.
Course: This is an undulating course with some good downhill sections near the lake but also some short sharp hill sections on the trails in the woodlands.

I ran in the race - but my photograph doesn't appear here in your Flickr set! What gives?
As mentioned above we take these photographs as a hobby and as a voluntary contribution to the running community in Ireland. Very often we have actually ran in the same race and then switched to photographer mode after we finished the race. Consequently, we feel that we have no obligations to capture a photograph of every participant in the race. However, we do try our very best to capture as many participants as possible. But this is sometimes not possible for a variety of reasons:
►You were hidden behind another participant as you passed our camera
►Weather or lighting conditions meant that we had some photographs with blurry content which we did not upload to our Flickr set
►There were too many people - some races attract thousands of participants and as amateur photographs we cannot hope to capture photographs of everyone
►We simply missed you - sorry about that - we did our best!
You can email us petermooney78 AT gmail DOT com to enquire if we have a photograph of you which didn't make the final Flickr selection for the race. But we cannot promise that there will be photograph there. As alternatives we advise you to contact the race organisers to enquire if there were (1) other photographs taking photographs at the race event or if (2) there were professional commercial sports photographers taking photographs which might have some photographs of you available for purchase. Audrey Novotny was promoted to the rank of staff sergeant in the Nebraska Army National Guard during a ceremony Aug. 3, 2020, at the Joint Force Headquarters in Lincoln. Novotny was pinned by her younger brother, Spc. Benjamin Novotny, who also serves in the Nebraska Army National Guard. This is likely to be Staff Sgt. The State Employment Service of the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Azerbaijan have been collaborating to implement the project on ''Promoting Employment and Innovation in Azerbaijan'' with the financial support of SYSLAB non-profit organization based in Norway and UNDP since 2011.

Captain Rob Kinney was promoted to major March 1 in a ceremony held at the U.S. Army Medical Department Museum at Fort Sam Houston, Texas. Major Gen. John Uberti, deputy commanding general support, U.S. Army Installation Management Command, pinned the rank on Kinney and provided remarks at the ceremony. Kinney has served as Uberti's aide since October 2011.

Kubiš Says Iraqis Want Leaders to Act to Counter Extremism, Promote Tolerance
Baghdad, 10 February 2016 - Special Representative of the United Nations Secretary-General for Iraq Jan Kubiš, at the conclusion of World Interfaith Harmony Week in Iraq, said that the people of Iraq have sent a clear message to their Government and to the political and religious leaders that they want action to counter extremism and sectarian policies and promote tolerance. He stressed continued UN support in such an effort.
“Throughout this week, we have heard stories about the destructive impact of sectarian, religious and ethnic violence on many communities in Iraq. No religion, sect, nationality or ethnic group is immune to this disease and threat. Radical ideology and policies of sectarianism, violent extremism and terrorism that are in its most extreme form represented today by Daesh present a serious threat not only to peace and security; but if not curbed, will also be a threat to the unity of Iraq and its people,” the SRSG said.
Mr. Kubiš added: “We cannot allow the inciters of sectarian violence to pull communities into the cycle of violence and reprisals and drive a wedge between various components of Iraqi society. They ultimately serve the interests of terrorism.”
The World Interfaith Harmony Week, marked worldwide on the first week of February, promotes a culture of peace and non-violence, religious and cultural understanding, and emphasises the need for dialogue among different faiths to enhance cooperation and harmony. In activities held in Najaf, Baghdad and Erbil 2-10 February 2016, religious leaders, politicians, academics and civil society groups came together around the theme of interfaith dialogue and harmony as key to ensuring peace and stability.
“These discussions have encouraged all of us to think about ways to promote the principles of tolerance, equality, justice and co-existence,” the SRSG said at the concluding session on Wednesday 10 February 2016 that was held at the Al-Jilani Mosque in Baghdad under the theme: “Bringing It All Together: An Action Plan to Promote and Protect Religious Harmony”.
SRSG Kubiš said that participants over the past week demanded action. They urged legislators to repeal discriminatory legislation and implement inclusive policies as well as to adopt laws clearly criminalising hate speech and propaganda that incites violent extremism. They also called on the Government to create the necessary conditions for the safe and sustainable return of displaced communities as well as ensure State authority is restored to liberated areas as quickly as possible to prevent violence. Participants urged political and religious leaders to promote tolerance, understanding and peaceful coexistence to counter violent doctrines and sectarianism. Civil society, in particular women and youth who shape familial and social norms, and media, which drive public opinion, have a key role to play.
Participants also urged the state to vigorously work for real and profound reforms to ensure good governance and elimination of corruption, inclusive and equitable access to employment opportunities, education, health and other services, effectively functioning economy and social justice. Without such reforms, the burden of the current economic fiscal and social crisis and austerity measures will only further alienate and radicalize many, mainly young people.
“The participants in The World Interfaith Harmony Week sent a strong appeal to the State to implement confidence-building measures that would promote tolerance, equality, justice and respect for diversity thus, working also for national reconciliation, for historic compromise that will preserve unity of Iraq and its people,” the SRSG said.
Political forces are called upon to overcome political divisions that so far prevented progress on these issues, he said, expressing UN readiness to contribute to implementing the recommendations.
