Thie first image from my dance with Promaster Z series extension tubes.
TI learned that when you use exertion tubes ALL lenses (even zoom lenses ) are primes. Who knew.... I used focus Shift capture to create one set of images at f1.8 and one set at f8 then combined the two to gt optimum Bokeh. too cool.
85mm 1.8 S series Nikkor lens. Lit with the light coming through my kitchen window. So Mother Nature was my gaffer.

Wearing the Citizen Eco-Drive Promaster Land GMT World Time.
Model: BJ7107-83E. Calibre: B877.
Solar powered, 20 BAR WR, SS bracelet, double lock clasp, screw down crown, antimag 4800, scratch resistant gun metal coating.
I bought it in Narita last autumn. What attracted me was the bright red GMT hand. Asked to try it on and it felt heavy and the fit was good. Turned it around, was looking for 'Made in Japan' but found 'Cased in Thailand'. Mmmmnnnn. I thought: you know what, the holiday was perfect, the watch can be a little less perfect.
Have been wearing it for 9 months now on weekends and I like it. The coating is very scratch resistant, the fit is great, it's heavy AF. I've got the 24 hour hand on Japan Standard Time. It is a pity that the world time bezel is not clicky, the lume is weak and that it isn't made in Japan ofcourse. Other than that, It's a fantastic souvenir.
Pretty terrible photo, but my first sighting of a UPS Ram Promaster in San Diego. I've seen a couple in LA, but never able to get a photo there either.

My new water toy - Citizen Promaster Aqualand II. I had a Casio depth watch that I used in the 1990's for training - it kept a log of my time spent on the bottom of the pool and it was also great for snorkelling and seeing how deep you could go. So when I found it in my drawer I decided to get a new battery for it - the next day I went to the pool like a little kid, only to find that water got in immediately and it died! So I got this Citizen to replace it - a new watch for a new era (actually it turns out I actually have a lot of watches!).
The old watch can be seen here on my Instagram feed (you are welcome to follow me there too if you are a fan of IG - I tend to post really random stuff there!):

63/365: texas iceburgs at sunset
after a busy day of photoshoots, i took a moment with the family to enjoy this gorgeous sunset from Murrell Park on Grapevine Lake. i was expecting more sky color, but am satisfied with what mother nature painted. the texas iceburgs (aka rocks) create a visually pleasing composition for the viewers eye…. it allows one to wander around the landscape and enjoy what it felt like to be inside my minds eye – in that moment – that moment as the sunset and nature became alive.
photographer’s note | this is my first photo captured using the little stopper from lee filters.

My first strobist shot!
Promaster 5750DX (no manual control) held at arm's length camera right. Shopping bag diffuser and curled magazine gobo to keep light off the wall behind me. Camera triggered remotely, f/22 at 1/3 second.
