At the Paul's Photo Lens-a-palooza Event this past weekend, Jasmine gets wrapped up in the green curtain sheer. These sunglasses only show as blue if they are directly reflecting the light. As son as she turns her head towards the camera, they go a dark grey.
I really like the contrast in colors... the red of her hair against the blue and the green.
First test shooting unperforated Fuji HRII Microfilm Negative film. Fellow film shooter Dan ( www.flickr.com/photos/nano_burger/ ) tipped me off to the world of unperforated 35mm microfilms. This film is beautiful, rated iso 25 and scans like butter.
How to shoot it? A select few 35mm cameras can shoot unperforated film. The cream of the crop - the Canon EOS 10s - superb camera all around!

My little collection, minus the lens that took the picture, whose twin can be seen with its rear element up in the center stack.
The Promaster is filthy because I've had it for 10+ years. It's been across the US and to Paris and Costa Rica! Not to mention it went to art school with me for 6 years. Ceramics was my major, so I guarantee the thing is FULL OF DUST.

Here it is, a re-badge of the Fiat Ducato. I read about this showing up here but didn't expect to see one so early.
Here's some info about our version of the Ducato.
Wiki: On February 7, 2013, Ram Commercial Trucks (part of Chrysler Group's Ram Trucks brand) unveiled the Ram ProMaster at the Chicago Auto Show. Since the 2009 bankruptcy of Chrysler and subsequent acquisition by Fiat, Chrysler has not offered a large van in the United States or Canada. Dodge Trucks (the brand name used by Chrysler prior to the inception of the Ram brand) had offered a version of the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter van starting in 2003, and earlier the Dodge Ram Van. A passenger version of the ProMaster was not announced; however, Autonews.com has since confirmed that a passenger version will be available, to compete with similar vehicle such as the Ford Transit and Mercedes-Benz Sprinter..
Based on the Ducato, the most significant difference between the ProMaster and the Ducato is the availability of a gasoline-powered engine. The Chrysler Pentastar 3.6L V6 engine will be offered in conjunction with the Chrysler 62TE six-speed automatic transmission as standard equipment. The Iveco 3.0L I4 diesel engine mated with the M40 six-speed automated manual transmission will be offered as an optional powertrain.
The ProMaster is offered in three wheelbases (118 inch, 136 inch, 159 inch), four overall body lengths (195 inch, 213 inch, 236 inch, 250 inch, with the two longest body lengths available only with the 159-inch wheelbase), and two overall heights (88 inch and 99 inch). The panel-van configuration is available in all sizes, while the chassis-cab and cut-away configurations are offered only in 136-inch and 159-inch wheelbases. The window-van is available only in the 159-inch wheelbase and 99-inch roof height. The ProMaster is produced in Chrysler’s manufacturing facility in Saltillo, Mexico, and was first available in October 2013.

This shows the "business end" of a 2017 Ram Promaster ambulance built by Malley Industries Inc. of Dieppe, New Brunswick, Canada. The innovative interior design was created in 2015 after consultation with a very large number of paramedics. It emphasizes having the correct equipment in the most convenient location for efficiently treating patients while giving the paramedics a safe working environment. It has a very low floor, excellent headroom, and can carry a bariatric stretcher. The low floor reduces the potential for back injuries to paramedics while lifting patients on stretchers into the ambulance
Malley Industries have sold these ambulances to numerous operators in various parts of Canada and the United States.. They also build ambulances on Ford Transit 350 trucks.
The monument was installed in the courtyard of the house where the pharmacists Alexander Kuzmani (1909) and Ignat Shekhter (1936) lived.

Last night found me back at B&C Photo in Las Vegas. I was asked to take the Nikon "Meet the D810" tour to Sin City.
It was miserably hot (110 degrees during the day and still 102 when I called it a night at 11:00!), BUT Vegas means more Dani!!!!
I met Dani on my last trip to B&C. She was helping out with a consumer hands-on flash class. Such a professional!!
Anyway, after the PowerPoint part of the event, we turned the customers loose with the new D810 to make their own sample images with the camera.
Just before we called it a night, I switched from Wireless Flash to Constant Light on Dani. I wanted to see what the new D810 would do at higher ISOs.
WOW!! Was I surprised!!! The first shot we made at 3200 was stunning!!!
I used the In-Camea Monochrome Picture Control Mode. The only customization to the mode was to activate the built-in Green filter.
I shot this as a NEF, but didn't have the new Capture NX-D installed on my work machine yet. So, I converted the file to a JPG in the camera via the Retouch Menu NEF converter.
Straight out of the camera except for resize and sharpening.

The battery in my Apple Watch reached an inarguably useless lifespan, which some might argue they come that way brand new, and something had to be done!
I never concerned myself with "closing my rings" (it's an Apple watch thing), have always liked analog watches, and knew it needed to waterproof.
A bit of shopping and research, and present the Citizen Promaster Dive Automatic.
