I found an inexpensive star shaped chipboard book at a local discount store. Each page already had a hole punched in it for a binder ring. I completely covered each page with paper to get rid of that hole.

To punch the binding holes I inserted one side of each page into the Bind It All so that it would only punch three holes at one time into the piece. I chose to not bind the book with O-Wires since they would not give enough to allow the book to open. I threaded ribbon through each hole of each page and tied it tightly in a double knot. To allow some slack in the binding I inserted a thick marker in between the knot and the pages of the book while tying. Once all of the knots were tied, I removed the marker.

Using a needle and thread I sewed a button onto each knot of ribbon. Besides being cute the stitches will help hold the knots in place while the book is handled. After binding I decorated all the pages, punching the photos out with a circle punch.

Osprey in nest. Calling for her mate who was flying overhead but too wary to land since I was so close.

The Project Neon sign arrived. It is awesome. Come see it in person at the City Reliquary show, opening Friday September 23, 2011.

In this montage I wanted to have a kind of comedic edit to it. What if photographers of that era had access to a smart phone camera. I think that photographer would always have first access at whatever newspaper they worked at to be able to get these pictures quicker. I decided to show the development of cameras from big bulky cameras (older gentlemen), to hand held ones (guy in middle bomber jacket), and then all the way up to a smart phone (kid with smart phone).

Ya dig my new Kool Aid kicks? Found 'em at Underground Nation when I walked in after seeing some lime high top Chuck's. Ya know the really hight tops. I asked if they made the regular high tops in lime but they don't. The sales hoittie asked if I liked these, I didn't at first, but now I love em'. Can't go anywhere without somebody givin' me love.

I broke my ankle and am pretty much bound to being in a reclining position with my leg elevated so this greatly limits what I can create in The Sketchbook Project moleskin that I was sent by Art House Co-op in Brooklyn.

I had my husband grab me some of my hand painted & hand screen printed silk scraps from the studio and a few other things. So I am using what ever is within my reach including an old paperback book

I left work about ten minutes early tonight - I'm coming down with the lurgy - and just about made it on to an earlier train. Jumped onto the first carriage. But there were no seats so I sat on the steps.

Theme 58: Rush hour.

My current Project. I am taking an old coffee table that has had the top laminet ripped off (by yours truely) and am modgepodgeing old random photographs I had in a box onto the top. In the end it will look like photographs are spread across the table, but will be covered in gloss, so they wont be damaged!

After a long overdue tidy up, my bedside table now looks like this.

2 classic microphones.. the Shure SM57 and SM58

A Weta Workshop creation at the end of Courtenay Place, Wellington. Snapped while I was sitting nearby between Fringe shows. I'd just seen 'Same, Same, Different' a show by a stand up comedian at Kitty O'Shea's and was going on to 'Double O Sinner' at Blondini's bar at the Embassy. Both were good shows.

When I was in this area last week I solved the geocache puzzle connected with this structure "GC328NY tripod reborn Wellington"

Project 7x52, week 20

Theme: Horses ::sigh::

I firmly believe that any hour spent in the company of horses is time very well spent. I was fortunate to spend Saturday in New Hampshire watching the amazing Steuart Pittman school OTTBs, Standardbreds and interested riders. The array of horses--from Connemaras to a beautiful retired Thoroughbred, The Tempest (who raced as Unbridled's Jewel) was great fun for this horsey girl.

A perfectly sunny afternoon, beautiful horses, and great company made for an ideal day.

The Eden Project is a visitor attraction in Cornwall, England, United Kingdom. Inside the artificial biodomes are plants that are collected from all around the world.

The project is located in a reclaimed Kaolinite pit, the complex is dominated by two huge enclosures consisting of adjoining domes that house thousands of plant species. The domes consist of hundreds of hexagonal and pentagonal, inflated, plastic cells supported by steel frames. The first dome simulates a tropical environment, and the second a Mediterranean environment.

Anatomy of a Murder (1956) Poster.

Bass is known for his logo designs, but is more importantly known for his posters & title credits for films back in his days. He revolutionized the role of credits in films, and made them MUCH more presentable, and actually signify an importance in the openings of films.

This is one of his posters from the movie Anatomy of a Murder, and as you can see he uses a very simple design. Most of his work is done in just a few colors, usually consisting of black & white. In this poster, he uses parts of a body to express the story with a visual, instead of just relying on the title.

Thanks for coming this fare and taking an interest in my project. My name is Alexander Ben Korako Watson best known just as A.B Watson. I’m starting a project on documenting the next three years through my camera but I need your help and support.

Project-1001 is a photography project where I plain to document three years through my camera lens. I will take a photo a day everyday for the next three years till I have in total 1001 photographs. I plan to upload a photo a day to my website, flickr account, twitter and deviant art profile. So that everyone can follow my progress through the next three years.

I will be using my Canon AE-1 film camera that takes 35mm film. Each week I will develop the negative films that I have taken, scan the negatives and upload the images. I’ll write a little bit about each image and how they came into being. I’ve decided to use a film camera to document each day out of pure love for film photography and the darkroom. I’ve also purchased a Fujifilm finepix X100 and will be trying to make the jump to digital as well.

I also plan to have a gallery show at the end of my project to showcase the amount of work that I have done, and to celebrate the completion of project-1001. If all goes smoothly I wish also to publish a book of every image that I’ve taken through the course of this project.

Old project I found that I had made in the 6h or 7th grade. I believe from plans from an Popular Electronics article. This was a popular sound chip used in toys & games. Radio Shack carried it back then. Interesting that I actully brought the project off of the breadboard and into a completed enclosure. Luckily I can solder a bit better these days. Does anybody remember the article?

The first Momentum Geocaching Day of 2017. Our friend, Tanya, has set a series of caches in her suburb, Island Bay. She's currently on holiday in India so we are searching for her caches today. The smallest we found was this nano. The little Buzzie Bee is our group travel bug.

The soda can is universally recognizible, with its modern-yet-vintage logo and iconic red colour. Coca Cola has become synonymous with American freedom, success and joy. By using it as hair rollers, I changed the function of the metal can, yet kept the context of a couple of the American 1950's symbols: Coke and hot-roller hairstyles.
