The Eden Project is a visitor attraction in Cornwall, England. Inside the two biomes are plants that are collected from many diverse climates and environments. The project is located in a reclaimed Kaolinite pit, located 2 km (1.2 mi) from the town of St Blazey and 5 km (3 mi) from the larger town of St Austell, Cornwall.
The complex is dominated by two huge enclosures consisting of adjoining domes that house thousands of plant species, and each enclosure emulates a natural biome. The biomes consist of hundreds of hexagonal and pentagonal, inflated, plastic cells supported by steel frames. The largest of the two biomes simulates a Rainforest environment and the second, a Mediterranean environment. The attraction also has an outside botanical garden which is home to many plants and wildlife native to Cornwall and the UK in general; it also has many plants that provide an important and interesting backstory, for example, those with a prehistoric heritage.
Aneela Hoey's Project Book Pouch. It was a fun, easy sew (with the one minor exception of hand sewing Peltex to finish the binding). There are a couple of things I would modify slightly. The pattern calls for Pellon 72F, but the pattern instructions don't make use of the double fusible, so I think 71F would have worked fine and been easier. I also would machine stitch the binding to the outside, so the hand finishing is to the inside -- I think this would look cleaner and make it unnecessary to hand sew through the Peltex.
The Drawer Project is a kind of self-absent portraiture project: each drawer contains objects that belong to me, and in certain way are talking about what I consider valuable or useful. Your physical and visible features, in fact, that is only the top of the iceberg, do not only define your personality. How you dress, what you read, how you speak, what music do you like, and what you possess, are key elements of your identity. Tell me what you keep in your drawer and I tell you how you are. Most people consider their drawers a reserved space, and open them it is a kind of violation of their intimacy. I wonder what we could discover about their lives looking into their drawers.
In addition, drawers are spaces for chaos too; they help to keep out of our watch many tiny things, avoiding being all around there. Although they are under a total chaos into the drawer, they are under control while they are in the drawer.
The drawer is also a time-recorder-machine that keeps track of your personal story, where you can find evidence of your past through the objects with which you were and perhaps you are still linked to.
For drawer, I mean a space where you can keep several objects, and that can be closed (this can include toolboxes, sewing boxes, gardening… any object that is worthy for the owner). The style of the pictures is personal (format, perpective, colour, BW), but there are three rules:
The picture should include the frame of the drawer or something that allows to identify it as an object container.
The drawer’s contain must not be arranged for the picture (you are permitted to remove whatever helps to preserve your anonymity).
A short title must be added to each picture, and a brief reflection or text (between 10-20 words) to add some context to the picture.
A Blurb photobook will be published containing all the works; the profit from sales will be donated to a charity which helps refugees (it has sense, because we are talking about how much we care our belongings)
All the pictures will be included in a video footage that will be exhibit during the European Summer Tour 2016 of Caspervek Trio, which will write and perform an original soundtrack for the video.
Publishing your pictures in this group you consent to use them either in the video footage and in the Blurb photo-book. The author of the pictures used in the video and the photobook will be credited with the Flickr user and the date of the picture.

This is my newest PDF pattern. Since Fall seems to be the season when a lot of us are making Christmas gifts, I am busy putting out patterns to help.
Germany - Lubeck: Salzspeicher (salt storehouses.) by the River Trave.
The Salzspeicher (salt storehouses) of Lübeck, Germany, are six historic brick buildings on the Upper Trave River next to the Holstentor (the western city gate).
Built in the 16th–18th centuries, the houses stored salt that was mined near Lüneburg and brought to Lübeck over the Stecknitz Canal. The salt was then shipped to several ports in the Baltic region, where the commodity was relatively rare, but was in high demand for the preservation of food. The salt trade from the late Middle Ages onward was a major reason for the power of Lübeck and the Hanseatic League.
In the course of the centuries, the houses were adapted for the storage of different goods, such as cloth, grain and wood.
Part of the complex was used as the residence of Count Nosferatu in the classic horror movie Nosferatu, eine Symphonie des Grauens.
Tried to post a wild side photo to end 2024 but it came up a little short of expectations - be this as it may, this is it! Happy New Year to all my family and friends! May 2025 bring you wealth, health and happiness and joy!!
E' LA TRISTE STORIA DI UN UOMO CON DELLE ASPIRAZIONI LETTERARIE
CHE VERRANNO IGNORATE E FRUSTRATE

8.
Calzini caffelatte
nei sandali slabbrati,
chiude la porta e lascia
moglie figlia per sempre,
ogni giorno per sempre
davanti al televisore,
ogni giorno ripensa
che se butta la chiave
e dà fuoco ai documenti
può sparire per uno
due mesi dai tormenti.
9.
( É ancora andrà, deluso,
fingendosi contento
supplicando che passino
quei sogni deliranti.
Lui che non era nato
per sbaglio come tanti).
10.
É andrà l’uomo in grigio
con la sua borsa piena
di lettere invidiose
che non ha mai spedito,
si fermerà davanti
alla tazza di caffè
per sbirciare maligno
chi c’è e chi non c’è.
11.
Nemmeno dilettante,
conosce suo malgrado
i labirinti vuoti
di una chiesa in silenzio.
Anima Christi , prova…
litania memoria assenzio.

I saw Lucy twice that day , she was a charity Girl for Christian Aid. I promised myself I would capture her that day ... I was so determined ! She was over 6ft tall with that flower in her hair ! I am a sucker for accessories , Lucy stood out a mile. She is doing this summer job before going to Falmouth College doing Photography of all things.
I had to negotiate a photo for a donation for the aid: I got the photo but she could only sign me up for a year’s Subscription , I declined as was not able to commit but I would gift a donation on line.
We chatted about the new/old Lens which she liked and appreciated the quality – Lucy indicated at the time , this Lens I had just purchased was a pro Lens used by Photo journalists ! Lucy is embarking on a three year course and looking forward to it.
I explained about the 100 Strangers – I indicated do this project , you will learn more than any class room – she laughed. The 1st photo was her smiling and captured the 2nd when see cheekily asked me – where are these photo’s going to go ? I said flickr etc she did this cheeky , unsure , not convinced look but laughed after saying that was cool ! She normally takes the photo – hardly ever the subject except family albums’ and such like.
We spent half an hour together , enjoyed the chat and discussion ! Very good sales lady ... With her good looks,
This was taken with that old lens = 85 mm Glad to say her eyes are perfect ,, I love her smile , confidence and quirkiness

Pop surrealist, graffiti, tattoo, lowbrow, comic and underground artists show their allegiance to the dark side by customizing Darth Vader helmets in landmark gallery exhibition called The Vader Project, of which debuted at Star Wars Celebration IV on May 24 to 28 at the Los Angeles Convention Center. And, of course, there were 66 of them.
After playing with water droplets ... i felt i needed to make the project BIGGER ... so step up the fish tank and some cut & uncut fruit .... quite pleased with this for the 1st real attempt

Young mans name was Angel, how appropriate.
Single SB800, shoot-through, 1/8pwr. Gelled, held high over the fence.
Next task: inspect the extent of rust on the sills.
I knew there was a bit of rot at this point on both sides under the rear doors when I bought it and I gave the sills a good tap all the way along before buying. So I wasn't expecting to be putting my hands through the outer sills on both sides!
The problem had been hidden by the factory underseal where the rust had been quietly creeping presumably for a number of years. The metal was so thin I was able to cause this hole with my fingers.
The other side was similar at this point, but on this side the hole extended quite a way further along.
At least it hadn't spread into the inner sills... and the car was very cheap!
This is not something we see on the road here everyday - a transporter lorry carrying four tanks.

Germany - Lubeck: Marienkirche - St. Mary's Church, built c1250 - c1350; demolished 29 March 1942; rebuilt 1947-1959.

Built in 1561 through to 1566, the Astronomical Clock is considered to be a real treasure of both art history and sacred history. It was located behind the High Altar in the ambulatory but was completely destroyed in 1942. Only one dial (which had been replaced with an earlier restoration) remains in the St. Annen Museum. The new Astronomical Clock was constructed on the East side of the Northern transept in the "Death dance" chapel. It is the work of Paul Behrens, a clockmaker in Lübeck, who planned it as his lifetime achievement from 1960 - 1967, collected donations for it and constructed the elements of the clock himself. He also maintained the clock until his death. The clockface is a simplified duplicate of the original. With a complicated mechanical system, the clock shows planetary positions, phases of the sun and moon, signs of the zodiac (astronomically, not astrologically), the date on which Easter falls and the Golden Ratio. At 12 o'clock midday the bells ring out and the movement of the figures before Christ consecrating spurs into action. The figures were originally Electors; after post-war reconstruction they are now eight representatives of the different races and peoples of the world.
