My family went to a friend's house on Sunday. They live on a lake in Cicero, IN. The whole thing was iced over as a result of the temperatures below 0 the week before. The golden sunset and ice on water made a pretty contrast. I liked the docks in the foreground. I had my point and shoot with me. f/3.5 1/160 ISO 80 135mm.

I set out to photograph couples, heterosexual and LGBTQ, with the goal to create a collection of photos that showed that Love is Love no matter how it is paired up.
This is Charlene and Sharoya's story:
Charlene and Sharoya were wonderful to shoot. I met them both at a networking event several years ago. And obviously when I started this project I wanted them to be part of it. They are beautiful and fun loving people who are so in love and so comfortable with each other.
Read below to learn more about them in their own words:
Sharoya:
How did you two meet?
“We met at a laundry mat, My best friend was dating her friend. We seen each other here and there, Two years later I asked her to be a actress on a shoot was working on and she said yes.”
What is the thing you love the most about her/him?
“What I love most about her is her resourcefulness, and her get up and go. That whatever she wants she goes after, that includes me."
What made you fall in love and/or how did you know this person was the one?
"I knew she was the one, because I knew, I always knew when I saw her the second time, my second time meeting her it was a feeling. and everything after that just proved right. Everything we went through in the beginning up to this day, just proves she is the one."
Charlene:
What is the thing you love the most about her?
"I love how she never tears me down for being me and has my back with all my million ideas and plans.”
What made you fall in love and/or how did you know this person was the one?
“I fell in love with her when she sang Al Green to me while softly touching my face. I felt like I was home."
What advice do you have for other couples who want to have a lasting relationship?
"I would tell other couples that it is not perfect and never will be. Always remember to consider the other even if you don’t agree.”
Thank you so much for posing for the project, you two are wonderful!

The building that is going up and blocking the view of the harbour has got a lot bigger in the past month. But I do like that the surroundings are reflected in it.

This collection of photos demonstrate different lightings and settings while also incorporating shadows. Different lighting and settings can bring a completely different side and character out of the photo. Shadows can bring dimension and differentially to pictures.
I have been enjoying the challenges this class has offered but most importantly I have enjoyed stepping out of my comfort zone. Working with different lights and shadows allowed me to improve on my photography skills. Due to this, I will always face a challenge with my head up and confidence.
"Your Lights"
When we come home at night and close the door
Standing together in the shadowy room
Safe in our own love and gentle gloom
Glad of familiar wall and chain and floor
Glad to leave far below the clanging city
Looking far downward to the glaring street
Gaudy with light, yet tired with many feet
In both of us wells up in a wordless pity
Men have tried hard to put away the dark
A million lighted windows brilliantly
In lay with squares of gold the winter night
Sense of the lives behind each yellow light
And now one wholly joyous proud or fear

Did some shopping today so, didn’t take any photos sorry. But did have this one early in the morning. Someone just got out of the bathroom and the mirror was all fogged up so I took a little quite self portrait. hope you like. Sorry is not another portrait of a beautiful young women.
We built in this cavity to the right of the fireplace with plans to build a bookcase. It only took me two years to find the time to actually build it.
Project Kanya is an initiative by the present Government of Bihar to set up high schools upto class twelve exclusively for girls.
Amongst the other benefits, includes a bicycle for every girl child who goes to school regularly. The move is undertaken so that the children from all neighboring villages can attend the schools.
I will be showcasing this project for a while from now onwards. This is my second major project in the quest of promotion of Child Education in Rural Bihar.
I was pretty stumped with the project for awhile. I had way too many song ideas but no enough time, money, or know how to try them out. (Someday, I am definitely making my "True Colors" idea into a reality.) I turned to my Facebook friends for some help. I got a lot of great song titles but really no inspiration. But three of my friends said, "You Are My Sunshine", which is kinda perfect.
My dear grandparents, whom I loved beyond words, loved this song. My grandpa would often sing it to his "sweetheart" my grandma. They were amazing people and loved each other dearly.
They taught me how a husband and wife should treat each other and how to love people even when they can be difficult. I got my love of music from them. My grandma gave me my love for quilting. I loved them dearly and miss them daily.
I used a multi-toned yellow, a sky blue with clouds, and a great music notes fabric. I even quilted their brand into the lower right hand corner. Finished size is 20 in square. Created in Webster City, Iowa, USA.
Interesting theme for the 52 week project this week. It is to be inspired by a quote from a movie/book/song.
The initial inspiration was:
"What a drag it is getting old." Rolling Stones, Mother's Little Helper
Although then as I thought about it these lines could apply:
"Mother needs something today to calm her down
And though she's not really ill, there's a little yellow pill
She goes running for the shelter of a mother's little helper" Rolling Stones, Mother's Little Helper
OR perhaps this:
"I tried so hard to rearrange your mind.
But after while I realized you were disarranging mine.
You better stop, look around
Here it comes, here it comes, here it comes, here it comes
Here comes your nineteenth nervous breakdown." Rolling Stones, Nineteenth Nervous Breakdown
AND not to be left out one of my favourites:
"Looks like I picked the wrong week to quit amphetamines!" Steve McCroskey - Movie - Airplane
Bergamo - Views from Tower of The Rocca.
The Italian national flag as flown from the top of The Rocca..
Our national hymn that in english can be translate in this way:
"Brothers of Italy,
Italy has awoken,
with Scipio's helmet
binding her head.
Where is Victory?
Let her bow down,
For God has made her
Rome's slave."
Thank you very much Gianna aka Blue-footedBooby
