The Eden Project is a visitor attraction in Cornwall, England. Inside the two biomes are plants that are collected from many diverse climates and environments. The project is located in a reclaimed Kaolinite pit, located 2 km (1.2 mi) from the town of St Blazey and 5 km (3 mi) from the larger town of St Austell, Cornwall.
The complex is dominated by two huge enclosures consisting of adjoining omes that house thousands of plant species, and each enclosure emulates a natural biome. The biomes consist of hundreds of hexagonal and pentagonal, inflated, plastic cells supported by steel frames. The largest of the two biomes simulates a Rainforest environment and the second, a Mediterranean environment. The attraction also has an outside botanical garden which is home to many plants and wildlife native to Cornwall and the UK in general; it also has many plants that provide an important and interesting backstory, for example, those with a prehistoric heritage.
So often we feel uncertain about our body, so rare the moments we feel pleased with it. We''re led by media who dictate "the perfect body" with the "perfect sizes - causing diseases like anorexia, boulimia, depressions and more misery. That s the reason I have started this project for every body!

This is my first Project Life page. I'm working a little backwards perhaps, as I haven't done the cover page, yet. I got this idea to do a resolutions page from this pin - www.pinterest.com/pin/54395107973348049/ (thanks MH!). I took pictures on New Years Day and then wrote our resolutions on the pictures (or to the sides on the C1's and Jason's - which he hasn't told me yet). I had C1 write his in himself - it says "Pick up my toys after I play with them and read more books". The brown paper is a brown paper grocery bag. My core kit is Kraft.

This is the cake for my daughters 1st birthday. It was made by a friend and tasted as good as it looks. Prior to her birthday I was trying to teach her how to blow a candle - do you know how hard it is to teach a one year old how to blow out a candle.
I have decided to take part in Project 365 in addition to my 100 Strangers project. I hope this makes me a better photog and please all constructive criticism is welcome.
Ill with stomach pains all day. Rik ran a bath for me and I took a snap of one of the two beautiful silver pendants he bought me a couple of weeks ago to celebrate the 25th anniversary of my changing my name.

Don't move or the strawberries get it! Messing about with soft fruit, airgun, darts and Triggersmart. It took me several goes to fine tune the Triggersmart to capture the dart, but I git theere eventually. It didn'yt help in that I was unable to secure the airgun to a fixed point.
Stranger #3/100
I'm 8 months pregnant and on my way home from a busy day of running errands, I had an urgent need to use the restroom (TMI?) and a sudden craving for some hot chocolate. I stopped at this rock climbing/coffee shop near home. Seeing as it had been awhile since my last entry for this project, I decided It was also a good time to look for Stranger #3. The environment was very relaxed and the shop wasn't very busy (since it is winter and most of the climbers come out int the spring/summer), so I felt comfortable approaching Eric, explaining the project, and asking for his photo. After speaking with him for a few minutes, I learned that his wife is also expecting! We're only a few months apart!
What I Learned:
Since it had been a few months since I photographed my first 2 strangers, I felt the pressure to get another photograph out there and may have rushed my creative process this time around. I noticed that I become nervous when photographing these strangers that I meet and become hyper-aware of their (and my) time. I usually take just a few quick shots and hope that I got something good. I missed certain technical things in my haste/nervousness in this shot. I need to remind myself that it is OK to slow down, it's OK to ask my subject to move to a better location, and it's OK to take the time to find the right light and settings. Overall, I am happy with this photograph. As stated above, I only wish that I would not have let my nerves get to me and that I would have allowed myself to slow down and get the shot just right. I'm hoping that with more practice, I will learn to control my thought patterns and gear them towards achieving my goal more effectively and efficiently.

With my photos I wanted to represent "the union of the peoples against war".Now I will describe you What is my picture for me. The river flows slowly towards the sea,in its tortuous journey fraught with difficulty. Represents all the world's people of all races,Of colors and cultures differents from the most modern to the more tribal. Oppressed by the monster made a few stupid ignorant people that rule the worl and how the plague to destroy the world with its wonderful to be alive defacing the nature. here is this winding river made ??by all the people brainwashed by men without dignity,slow walk with faith in a great force made ??up of many good souls called GOD, walking towards the sea it represents for me the eternal abodes where reigns perpetual peace. Heaven!! wars did not exist where love reigns in the hearts of the peoples merged into a single name GOD. God is the sun shining in the sky!!! looks lovingly This river flows slowly tired, full-merge with the infinite sea of peace. I wish everyone in the world who suffer because of the wars of the disease and the destruction inflicted by our fellow, to withstand the pain with peace in your heart that God can give us. Thinking of the great men of peace as some that come to mind: jesus christ, Martin luther king, Ghandi, Maria teresa di calcutta, Nelson mandela and many other who fought and suffered for the unity of the peoples without distinction of race!!!!!
365 Project - Day 290-304 - 16-31 October 2014
Day 290 - 304 - The red bottlebrush flowers were at their blooming best near my work, cafe coffee, brilliant almost fluro green kangaroo paws along a bush walk with friends at Ambergate Reserve in Busselton, beautiful Queen Anne's Lace, trees on my way home from work, cakes in a cafe (so wonderful to be back lunching with my girl friends), forklift at my work, sillouhette of my pot plant at work, grandson #2 loves wizzies, and climbing!, some baking treasures from my Mum's kitchen, kangaroo paws in my garden, a few drying protea heads, salad and fish cake for lunch at my desk, and my agapanthus blooms are emerging from their buds - beautiful.
Hmm....seems to be a few work photos - obviously not much photographic inspiration those days!
Some spray paint, fabric, and a glue gun burn later, these were the new shoes!

I'm just working on something; well, maybe more than one thing. Be able to tell you about it soon.
My friend's guitar project is nearing completion. It's in Gibson Les Paul style with the '59 neck which is thicker than on today's guitars. The fretboard is soon ready to be mounted and then it's time for the finishing treatments of all surfaces etc. His goal is also to wind his own pickups but that may not happen until his next project. Nice, isn't it?

Last weekend when I re-visited this "chosen one" for a progress report and update, I was expecting and hoping to find a hint of yellow, the first of the flower buds should be formed I thought. Instead, some Celandine loving beasty had recently paid a visit and munched off most of the young leaves and growing tips. Grrrr, another "Follow this plant through the seasons" project had failed miserably. Not so, for when I took another peak this morning, I discovered a pleasant surprise, Project 2014 is back on again....
my baby recently lost 3 pounds...which isn't a good thing for babies. His pediatrician was also worried. After a week of worrying that he might have serious health problems, it turns out that he just wasn't getting enough to eat....which is easy to fix. But there are too many babies and kids who are sick and don't have easy fixes...and my heart has been aching for them and their families. I'm so so grateful for my kids health and i so badly wish that i could cure all babies and kids from disease and sickness.
