Roy Blumenthal (South Africa), Dean Meyers (NYC), Jonny Goldstein (Philadelphia) decided to connect in real time over the web to have a visual jam. We used DimDim.com to have a web conference where we jammed on the topic of creativity and business. Very productive and great fun.
These notes were made on the back of a paper menu while meeting with Chris Condayan and Ray Ortega over a few drinks. They produce tons of great audio, video, and web content for the American Society for Microbiology. This is a snapshot of what they are working on. Check out their extremely popular video podcast, Microbe World, to get a sample of what they do.
One interesting bit, in the lower right, is a dream that Chris has of involving supervised science students around the nation contributing data on topics like water quality that would show up on a Google Map mashup.
And the big bite taken out of the lower left? You will never know...
Young talented students from prestigious universities and top business schools met at the ESCP Europe's London Campus on 22nd & 23rd February to participate in the 2019 School’s Energy Trading Challenge.
Jointly organised by our MSc in Energy Management (MEM) students, in collaboration with Smart Global, ESCP Europe, and its Research Centre for Energy Management (RCEM), this year’s challenge sponsored by Glencore - one of the world’s largest global diversified natural resource companies and a major producer and marketer of more than 90 commodities, with 90 offices in over 50 countries- provided an excellent platform for students to learn key insights on trading oil and gas products.
London Campus Dean Prof. Dr Simon Mercado, Prof. Dr Kostas Andriosopoulos, Executive Director of the RCEM and Academic Director of ESCP Europe's Energy Management Programmes, and Luke Horswell, Director of Smart Global delivered the welcomed 205 attendees representing 23 universities at this truly international competition.

When they moved in, it was just a shell with concrete floors. Tanga exposed the ceiling and frosted it white for an exposed look. They carpeted most of the building, but finished the concrete floors in the kitchen and game rooms for a polished look.
