At VFS Digital Design, we teach agile project management practices throughout the entire year. And what better way to refresh everyone's recollection of the 9 knowledge areas (scope, time, cost, human resources, procurement, risk, quality, communication and integration) than with a game!
The students were divided into four teams and briefed on a project they had just "won”. Using index cards and post-it notes the students were asked to record the goals, objectives, work breakdown structure including time allotted for major tasks, resources, and the risks of their respective projects and post them on the wall.

Day 18 of 100 Days Envizualized.
I made these characters by playing around with using simple shapes.
This image is part of 100 Days Envizualized, a project where I upload visual notes that I create on 100 consecutive days. To check out the other notes, go here
An eBook will be available of all 100 days worth of notes, with annotation, once the 100 days are over.
Geometry students from the Wiesbaden Middle School pick out and test construction materials they will use during their Tin Can Construction challenge, a project similar to the Society of Design Adminstration's Canstruction©, that challenges students to use math and science to design and construct artwork from tin cans. The students, Allyson Mcnemey, Wesley Moncrief, Shin Cousins and Zach Cassou, spent their May 12, 2010, class period at the commissary deciding on the number of cans to order. Employees from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Europe District are volunteering their time to help the students with the project. (U.S. Army Corps of Engineers photo by Justin Ward)

The students, Allyson Mcnemey, Wesley Moncrief, Shin Cousins and Zach Cassou, spent their March 26 class period at the commissary deciding on can colors and sizes. Esther Zhang, Lally, Aenah and Myuu are working on social network project in student lounge BCIT. The purpose is to promote Lally's father's performance at a restaurant, we need to build various social media accounts , as well as website, for the performance. Having a good time sharing ideas with peers, always can get new view.
I am getting there guys. Working on 5 projects at the same time doesn't make this process very fast though ;)

This particular image shows the power of revision. Yesterday's visual note was a rough draft at this image. I got some excellent and specific feedback from folks online and reworked the image to get what you see here.
A book will be available of all 100 days worth of notes, with annotation, once the 100 days are over.
My hope is that people will learn to kick ass using visual thinking by following the course of someone who uses visual thinking over a sustained period.

Visualization and management of your sales might be troublesome without proper tools and strategies in place. Once we created Kanban board, it has proven itself useful for the purpose of tracking initial interest of potential customers throughout the negotiations process, ending at the finalization of the sale and monitoring the happiness of our customers.
