Can you believe it's flaming June already?

Today was in some ways a bit like yesterday, in that I ended up in work 'out of hours' to do a bit of cabling.

For a change of scenery, I took my walk down at that end of the city, and it involved some creative routing around the loop line path.

Not far from the path there is a field, and it was here that I elected to lie down for this shot. I should really have waited another twenty minutes for the perfect light, but alas my commitment was lacking. This still isn't bad for a phone shot, and I'm quite happy with it.

Hehehehehehe.

We're renovating our home and the place is getting pretty dusty as a result :-( Sometimes his nose gets itchy (and runny) because of all the dust, and this is how he relieves it :-P

18.366 (1/18/16). The numbers return!

Friday night barbeque. No judging.

Soon I'll be able to exit the front door and enter the screen room

ODC - 3/6/2024 - Entrance or Exit

Claire and I flew economy on Air France, but we did arrange to get exit row seats for both trips so we had lots of space. This photo was taken with my legs fully stretched out. Yay for row 30 on the Airbus A380!

It's amazing how much shelf space is dedicated to the stuff considering it comes out the tap for free.

I have processes the life out of this as this was the only shot I managed to take before I saw a security guard approaching. They should be going after thieves not amateur photographers!

Eu adoro esse meu telefone! *-*

E o melhor é que ainda funciona! :)

Thanks for all folks!

1:15 p.m. The Whitworth Art Gallery in Manchester had an exhibit built around the work of Joseph Whitworth, the man who left the money to found the gallery, ta Victorian innovator in machine tools. Here a detail of his pilar drill is in the foreground; in the background is Jacob Eptein's 'Genesis'.

After Monday's hospital extravaganza, my parents came over to make us dinner. (AWWWWWWWWWWWW!) Then, Joey, my brother in law , spent the night so he could take Steve to his doctor's appointment on Tuesday. I really could not take off another day of work so Joey very nicely did so. Steve slept on the couch; he said it was better so I wouldn't accidentally hit his feet in the middle of the night. Joey slept on the Aerobed that we borrowed from my friend Emily. You can see Frankie all nuzzled up next to him towards his feet there. Wasn't that nice of me to take a picture of him sleeping at 6:30 in the morning as I was leaving for work. Yep. I'm the best.

Are they like this every year?

It really struck me today that the roadside and road centre verges are utterly awash with dandelions.

It's never struck me as much before, so maybe I'm just more aware or it's do with reduced maintenance.

Either way, they're visually interesting when struck by nicer light than this.

#fmsphotoaday #project366 340:Looking Up

I voted today for Hillary Clinton, not because she is the "lesser of two evils" but because she is a strong choice on her own merits. I care about LGBT equality, a fairer tax system, climate change, gun violence, health care, immigration reform and many more things that Hillary has sensible plans for while her opponent does not. I don't disparage anyone voting for her opponent, but I have grown tired of the false narratives and outright lies that get applied to Hillary. Lost in this election cycle, drowned out in all the noise, is the fact the US are about to elect their first woman for President. A historic event!

This was supposed to be the moon setting but I moved the camera. Accident I'm afraid. I took this on 9th Jan. I took a photo again on Tuesday 10th and, thanks to Eileen's - www.flickr.com/photos/vistna/ - encouragement thought lets keep going. So here we have photo 1 of 366 - hopefully. No 1 was an accident and no 2 is junk hmmm......

I know that the arse has completely dropped out of the advertising hoarding market, but even so you don't see this very often.

This is an unpopulated backlit hoarding, and you can see that it has a load of striplights all connected to a fuseboard in the middle, much like a domestic set up really.

The advert itself is printed on stretchy fabric that lights up elegantly when backlit.

Something nice for the collection.

Me rendi à data capitalista. hahahaha!

Obrigada por tudo. :) :)

Mimimi hahahaha

Feliz dia dos namorados!

Four blokes outside a pub

Leah's room at Queen's University, Kingston. At this point, we were mostly completed. She has a very nice single room. The rooms have ethernet but limited wifi, so we setup our own router. Angela helped Leah name the wireless network: Pray4Harambe. 1 connect = 1 prayer. :)

I drive through a small rail underpass daily on my way to work, and it has this graffiti on it. I don't like graffiti in general but I admit to being taken with this peace sign Mona Lisa, and I look at it every day. Apologies for the cellphone photo out the car window today.
