One from the garden today as the rose bush at the back of the garden has come into gorgeous bloom, and I also spent most of today with my nose to the grindstone on the timetable.
I've actually made decent progress with rewrite number 2, but as I've said before, with the timetable it's the opposite of a jigsaw in that things get harder, not easier, as you get closer to the end.
Every year I resolve to make good progress over Easter and every year it ends up getting done a half term later. I never learn. There's just no point making progress until you get closer to transfer deadline day on the 31st May.
Fingers crossed we get no more staffing surprises!

Ziploc Space Bags! If you haven't used these before, you should. They are really great. You can jam a lot into a car or suitcase with these. Imagine a huge pile of clothes or bedding compressed into an awkwardly sized, incredibly heavy brick.
I wanted to take some pictures inside the Cathedral but it was closed for the day when I got there so I took some photos outside. Incredible architecture.
Also, wanted to say thanks to everyone who has checked out my photostream, I just went over 10,000 views the other day, not a huge deal but it's still nice to know that people are seeing my photos.
May 22 - For the past couple of years, my nephew Declan has fed and watched some caterpillars grow into butterflies. This year, we were able to attend the release of his Painted Lady butterflies.
There were some who flew right out as soon as Declan and Tucker had unzipped their netted home. But others needed a bit of encouragement.
At one point, Dec put his hand inside and one of them landed on it...he gently pulled his hand out of their container, with this butterfly resting on his fingers. When it emerged, it lifted its wings and flew to his shoulder where it stayed for several moments. Then it flew off to their garden for some nourishment.
Thank you, Declan, for letting us experience this too!!
in Windward Oahu the sun sets behind the Koolau mountains. On this overcast day the warm glow of the sun is struggling to break through the cloud cover. 120/366

My trellises took a beating when Hurricane Milton came through, but the nets kept all of the pieces in place. Thankfully it was easy to put back together
