25 volunteers showed up for a fun evening of appreciation on Feb. 9. Volunteers gave close to 3,000 hours in 2016 and helped with completion of 30 projects and helping in the Seedling Tree Nursery.

El 8 de octubre se llevó a cabo la segunda reunión de coordinación del programa Coopera en el municipio de Benito Juárez, con la participación de los miembros del consejo consultivo del Infonavit, orientados a fomentar valores de solidaridad, trabajo en equipo y compromiso social con los acreditados a este Instituto.
René Sansores Barea, líder del proyecto, destacó que se trata de un programa de apoyo para la conservación del patrimonio de los trabajadores, por lo que se busca la participación de la delegación, así como la creación de alianzas con la sociedad y el gobierno para impulsar la calidad de vida y el desarrollo social de manera sustentable.
Los objetivos de COOPERA son:
•Mejorar la imagen urbana y plusvalía de los conjuntos habitacionales financiados por el Infonavit, con una antigüedad de al menos 10 años.
•Darle valor al patrimonio de los trabajadores.
•Mejorar el entorno social.
•Revalorizar la garantía hipotecaria del Instituto.
•Culturizar a los habitantes sobre la importancia del cuidado de las espacios para la sana convivencia.
Algunas actividades próximas a desarrollar en la comunidad como parte de las metas consisten en la reforestación y mantenimiento del desarrollo habitacional, para la recuperación de las áreas verdes del conjunto, la integración social y la plusvalía del desarrollo.

Norman started as a camera operator for television which led to various broadcasting roles, and is now the Programming Supervisor for Shaw Multicultural Channel in Vancouver. He oversees and works with independent producers to create a television schedule and station that reflects the Lower Mainlandís colorful ethnic diversity. With local and international programming in over 20 languages, there is something captivating for everyone. Norman is also instrumental in producing the annual live province-wide coverage of the A World of Smiles telethon benefiting the BC Children’s Hospital.
