'The Eumenides' is the third play in Aeschylus’ great masterpiece, the tragic trilogy 'The Oresteia,' written more than 2,500 years ago. In response to the pleadings of his sister Electra and at the command of the god Apollo, Orestes has murdered his mother, Clytemnestra, who was wife and murderer of his father Agamemnon. As a consequence, Orestes finds himself tormented by the terrible Furies, hideous ancient goddesses of the underworld divinely charged with punishing blood murders. Guests follow the actors through Penn Museum’s third floor galleries.
Directed by Marcia Ferguson and featuring original music by composer Patrick Lamborn, this production is performed in collaboration with the University of Pennsylvania Theatre Arts Program’s Artistic Resident for 2016, Sebastienne Mundheim/White Box Theatre, who created the production design, with additional support from the Provost’s Interdisciplinary Arts fund.

Las 280 Juntas de Acción Comunal (JAC) beneficiadas por la convocatoria ‘Un Árbol para la Acción Comunal’, sembrarán en todo el país 3.100.000 árboles de diferentes especies. Así lo dijo hoy en el corregimiento de Santa Isabel (Montería), Carlos Eduardo Correa, ministro de Ambiente y Desarrollo Sostenible.
“De estas juntas, 78 están en Córdoba y sembrarán 780 mil árboles. Hemos venido al departamento de Córdoba a trabajar de la mano con las comunidades en este programa muy bonito de Juntas de Acción Comunal que nació hace algunos meses”, expresó Correa.
El ministro explicó que las JAC están recibiendo un incentivo de Pago por Servicios Ambientales (PSA) a través de la figura de acuerdos de conservación. “Cada junta está recibiendo 26 millones de pesos, más cinco millones en insumos. Hoy les llegó a su celular el aviso del segundo pago por más de 1955 millones de pesos distribuidos entre las juntas de todo el país”, anunció el funcionario.
De esta forma, se le aporta a la meta 180 Millones de Árboles al 2022 que lidera el Ministerio de Ambiente y Desarrollo Sostenible, y se involucra a las comunidades en este gran propósito de país para reverdecer, sembrar, recuperar y restaurar ecosistemas, y frenar la deforestación. “En equipo y desde las comunidades es como podemos hacer esto”, agregó Carlos Eduardo Correa.
420 mil árboles, la meta
Así mismo, el ministro hizo el lanzamiento de la iniciativa ‘Un Árbol para las Reservas Naturales de la Sociedad Civil’, cuyo objetivo es la siembra y el mantenimiento de 420.000 árboles en 26 de estas reservas ubicadas en 14 departamentos.
Las Reservas Naturales de la Sociedad Civil son una parte o el todo del área de un inmueble que conserva una muestra de un ecosistema natural, y es manejado bajo principios de sostenibilidad en el uso de los recursos naturales, y que, por voluntad de su propietario, se destina a la preservación o restauración con vocación de largo plazo, según el Decreto 1076 de 2015; son espacios a cargo de ciudadanos decididos a conservar sus predios, cultura y patrimonio.
En Colombia hay 1068 Reservas Naturales de la Sociedad Civil; de estas, 26 se presentaron a una convocatoria con una bolsa de cinco mil millones de pesos que ofrecía un aporte de 40 millones de pesos para conservación y restauración.
“Hoy lanzamos este programa en Córdoba, en una de sus dos reservas beneficiadas, la Reserva Zoconita, que tiene 9.1 hectáreas que vienen siendo restauradas, conservadas, reforestadas. Esta es una muestra para Córdoba y Colombia de que juntos podemos trabajar, con las reservas, con las comunidades, con el sector privado. El gran propósito es que Colombia respire bien, respire mejor”, dijo el ministro Correa.
Convenio que siembra vida
Este programa hace parte de un convenio que se firmó entre el Ministerio de Ambiente y la Corporación para el Manejo Sostenible de los Bosques Masbosques, el cual garantiza el rescate de semillas, la propagación de material vegetal, su siembra y posterior mantenimiento, siendo los encargados de las reservas los responsables de desarrollar la propagación in situ y las plantaciones respectivas. En el marco de este convenio, también se hará la siembra adicional de 1.431.000 árboles a través de la entrega de material vegetal a entidades territoriales y Corporaciones Autónomas Regionales.
“Este proyecto permitirá impactar de manera satisfactoria en estas reservas que conservan y protegen la biodiversidad. Apuntan también a los objetivos de conservación de áreas protegidas en el marco del cumplimiento de las metas del 30 % del territorio. Con esto se reafirma que Colombia no solo está enfocado en restaurar ecológicamente sus ecosistemas, sino que también propende por la conservación de las áreas protegidas establecidas en el territorio nacional”, expresó Adriana Santa, directora de Bosques y Servicios Ecosistémicos del Minambiente. / Mar. 25, 2022. Tandil, 29 de abril de 2018 - El programa de Orquestas Infantiles y Juveniles organizó el Primer Encuentro Regional de Orquestas del año en la provincia de Buenos Aires. Se llevó a cabo del 26 al 29 de abril en la localidad de Tandil. En este evento participaron diez orquestas que integran el Programa y tres orquestas en calidad de invitadas: en total, la ciudad bonaerense contará con la presencia de 550 niños y jóvenes músicos de la provincia y ciudad de Buenos Aires.
