The Midterm Review conference for the Istanbul Programme of Action for the Least Developed Countries will take place in Antalya, Turkey from 27-29 May 2016. The programme aims at establishing long-term partnerships between cultural organisations working in the field of community arts, voluntary or amateur arts and (non-formal) arts education. The programme engages participants in an intensive one-year, transnational collaboration process, which includes the realisation of a joint interdisciplinary pilot project that is linked to their cultural expertise and their community. In beginning of November 2015 the group has met for a final meeting to reflect and evaluate. As part of the LKCA conference ‘The art of…’ participants were able to present their projects and their learnings by workshops. This meeting marks the end of the second project cycle of Tandem Community & Participation. Early next year an open call will invite cultural managers in the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium and the UK who work in the field of participation and engagement in the arts to apply for the third round of the exchange programme.
