Front cover of a 16-page Peterborough Panthers Speedway match programme, issued in June 1989 (the club's 20th anniversary season), for a visit to the East of England Showground, Alwalton, by National League rivals Middlesbrough Tigers. Panthers won, 59-36.
The 2023 season proved to be Panthers' last at the Alwalton venue, which had hosted speedway continuously since 1970. The stadium owners declined to renew Panthers' lease. The site is destined for redevelopment into housing.
