The United States Air Force Band String Quartet held a special concert on May 8, 2016 for His Majesty King Norodom Sihamoni, Her Majesty Queen Mother Norodom Monineath Sihanouk, and other invited guests to commemorate a performance that took place on May 9, 1956 in Phnom Penh at the invitation of the late King Norodom Suramarit and Queen Sisowath Monivong Kossomak Nearireath Serei Watana.
Joined by two Cambodian artists, The United States Air Force Band String Quartet played a mix of American, European, and Cambodian music, including two pieces by King Sihanouk that premiered in 1956.
The musicians concluded the 60th Anniversary Concert with a special birthday message for HM King Norodom Sihamoni and a heart-warming encore performance of "Monika" in honor of HM Queen Mother Norodom Monineath Sihanouk.

The Dental Program has just started, and so families are coming to find assistance. A trip to a dentist is expensive in Iraq, and because of the war they haven't had the opportunity to be assisted my dentists. These treatments are free to the students and beneficiaries of this Family Center.

SAN PEDRO - With the legendary battleship USS Iowa and renowned LAFD Fireboat 2 as a backdrop, the first ever graduates of the Firefighter/EMS Magnet (FEMS) program at Phineas Banning High School in Wilmington, California were honored by civic leaders, including City of Los Angeles Fire Chief Ralph Terrazas and Assistant Chief Steven Gutierrez, both alumni of the school, at a waterfront ceremony on May 24, 2019. Chief Terrazas warmly congratulated each FEMS graduate with a hearty handshake and words of encouragement as their families cheered their unique accomplishment. One of four youth programs supported by the LAFD, FEMS provides a highly structured and progressive pathway for achieving academic, physical and life skills beneficial to a fire service career, including teamwork, leadership, courage and commitment.

The Virginia National Guard Commonwealth ChalleNGe program graduated 99 cadets June 18, 2011 at the Naval Air Station Oceana theater in Virginia Beach. Commonwealth ChalleNGe is the Virginia component of the National Guard Youth ChalleNGe Program, a five and a half month program which focuses on preparing at-risk teens and high school dropouts for the General Educational Development test and future employment, military or higher education opportunities. Virginia Sen. Frank Wagner and Brig Gen. Wayne A. Wright, the deputy Adjutant General of Virginia, were among those on hand to congratulate the graduates. Forty years after opening its first Public Works facility, North Charleston unveiled a new, state of the art complex posed to streamline services from a central location within the city. On Thursday, August 13, 2015 the City of North Charleston hosted a grand opening and ribbon cutting of the new complex on Casper Padgett Way.

An early programmable thermostat made by the Minneapolis co. The clock and the thermostat must both be separately wound with an included key. Teeth on the back of the clock can be set for different times to trigger the thermostat to turn up or down. I have been told that this thermostat was originally located in the Selden, Kansas high school.
On April 22, 14 girls and two coaches from Brazil who are a part of "Las Estrellas," a sports, leadership and English program, came to Knoxville, TN as part of the U.S. Department of State Empowering Women and Girls through Sports Initiative. After the first day, they had already experienced University culture by participating in Dr. Ashleigh Huffman's Service-Learning class and eating in the cafeteria.
