Graham Candidates (Penn State York students in the Graham Fellows Program for Entrepreneurial Leadership) had the opportunity to network with Graham Fellows Program Corporate Partners during an evening event at Heritage Hills Golf Resort on November 11. Students shared their elevator pitches, practiced introductions, handshakes, and met potential internship providers and employers.

The Rural Electrification Act of 1936, promoted by President Franklin D. Roosevelt, fundamentally transformed rural America by providing federal loans to establish electric cooperatives, raising farm electrification from 3% to over 90% by the early 1950s. Administered today by the USDA Rural Development Rural Utilities Service (RUS), these programs help expand economic opportunities, reduce utility costs to consumers, and improve the quality of life for farmers, ranchers, and rural families.
This Rural Development investment for Carroll EMC will finance the construction of 187 miles of new consumer lines and 450 miles of line improvements to connect 4,300 new consumers in west Georgia. The $58,652,000 loan supports Carroll EMC’s long-range priorities of system reliability, consumer growth, and infrastructure modernization. The project will achieve consumer growth and infrastructure modernization and is funded through USDA’s Electric Infrastructure Loan Program. (USDA photo by Christophe Paul)

Our Programming 2 class can’t get enough of coding! Today they learned about procedures and parameters, and more complex object motion. Today we finally entered the world of game making and exposed them to different types of games.

We didn't know we would be going to the exhibit that day so all we had were cell phone cameras.
I'm posting these as a costumer and prop maker, so you'll see a lot of close ups of seams and other details. Hopefully they will serve as a good reference for others.

If you look closely you can see the bulky Atmospheric Fluid Spectro-Variometer instrument attached to the belly of the Civvie as it comes in for a landing on Captain Jeb's second attempt. The extra drag of the instrument means the Civvie's approach speed needs to be higher than normal, and Jeb's first approach came in too slow.
