VISION: Corizon will be the leading Reentry program model for correctional healthcare by facilitating inmate community reintegration to reduce recidivism, promoting enhanced inmate quality of life and enhancing public safety.
MISSION: Corizon will provide Reentry case management services to assist in transitioning individuals back into communities by assessing needs, addressing barriers, developing individualized community integration plans and partnering with community stakeholders in an effort to reduce recidivism in Fulton County (GA).
CORE: Corizon Reentry services are focused on medically and mentally ill repeat offenders. The primary duties of the Reentry Case Managers are to provide supportive case management services including: securing housing (transitional and/or permanent), employment/ vocational training linkage, educational referrals, health education/management, including HIV/AIDS and other chronic illness referrals, developing and maintaining healthy relationships, social and interpersonal skill development, mental health service coordination, substance abuse and crisis intervention services.
The Reentry team developed quarterly network and coalition meetings with community stakeholders to address the changing trends, review resources available, barriers to services and challenges facing offenders.

The North Charleston Police Department implemented Project S.T.A.N.D (Stop and Take A New Direction) aimed at not just arresting low level narcotics dealers with little or no prior criminal history but to go a step further and help those involved in the activity change their lives for the better. This is program aimed at reducing recidivism through working on all aspects of the criminals’ lives.
This project was the focus of a Dateline NBC special entitled “Intersection” which aired on March 14, 2013.

HONOLULU — Pfc. Isabela Silva, Department of Nursing, Tripler Army Medical Center, learns first-hand how being intoxicated affects motor skills while attempting to drive a go-kart while wearing “drunk goggles,” provided by U.S. Army Garrison-Hawaii’s Army Substance Abuse Program. Her battle buddy, Spc. Jonathan Macklin, Department of Pathology, TAMC, attempts to help her avoid obstacles. ASAP was just one of the many presenters on hand teaching Soldiers, civilians and contractors at Tripler Army Medical Center and Schofield Barracks Health Clinic about patient and personal safety.

Female Adult Literacy program was initiated in 2016. At present PEP is running 26 Female Adult Literacy (FAL) Centers with 316 Female Adult Literacy members (Adult Students) in different areas of rural Sindh as follows,

There are 6 area officers and 1 WEP coordinator for the implementing and monitoring of the adult literacy program.
As a gesture of appreciation Pervaiz Lodhie President and founder LEDtronics Inc. offered a special gift of a Solar Powered LED Solar Light to the 316 student and 7 program officers.
Funding for the solar lights was provided by one of gentleman from USA. His name is not mentioned here on his advice.
First distribution ceremony was held on Thursday October 12, 2017 in Shaleemabad, Achaar Khaskeli & Shanti Nagar ALCs located in Tando Allahyar districts.
Lt. Gen (Retd.) Syed Perwaiz Shahid a renowned educationist was chief guest for the event.
Ms. Lillian Charles Program Manager PEP and other team members from PEP were present in the event.
During the ceremony 72 female students received solar lanterns. PEP will organize another event in Hyderabad for the distribution of remaining solar lights in November 2017.
Hope you are well , I am fine too. We are thankful for all your support through lights that you have provided to Women who are part of Adult literacy classes. As I have received a call from Mr Shahid i am sharing the following information with you.
Women Empowerment groups were started in 2013 in all the PEP schools. The ideas was to provide awareness to women regarding their rights, responsibilities, savings, and issues such as early marriage. These women were provided training on building low cost washroom and they were also provided training on how to save their families during severe floods. At present PEP has 67 groups in total. Each group has a group of 10 females.
In 2016 , on the request of women, adult literacy course is introduced to the women. Project aimed at 5 centres in 2016 but 27 centre were started in 2016. they women were provide free books and no fee was charged from them. A mobilizer from the same village taught these classes.. They course is designed for one year as it is a weekly class.
In 2017 , PEP introduced a centre where women can learn from android tablets. PEP has designed three grade applications in Sindhi on tablets which are useful for these women. They can use those applications and hear sounds and can read the sentences and stories.
Now women are able to read and write sentences. Instead of thumb print they can write their names. They developed their confidence and able to perform theater on sensitive issues. Some of the theatre performances are uploaded on PEP website.
PEP is reaching out to the marginalized communities with a hope of educating them and making them effective citizen of our country.

Mallory Barrow works for the Illinois EPA through the Graduate Public Service Internship (GPSI) Program at UIS, which is ranked as one of Illinois’ premier governmental internship programs. Her internship provides experience in testing water quality, assisting with routine inspections and complaints, and attending meetings with agency partners.
Still going for a more accurate Atlas V launcher, I added the KW Aerospace parts kit to Kerbal Space Program. Mostly I used a new set of fairings, but the upper stage used some KW rocket engines and tanks just to get a feel for them.

On 4th April, 2021, we arranged a program on traditional Santali tribal dance at the foothills of Baroghutu. All the performers were residents of a nearby village known to us for few years. Baroghutu- a tribal hamlet at Mukutmanipur, Bankura district, India.
Mukutmanipur's undulating forested landscape marked by the vibrant colors of spring is refreshing and invigorating for body and mind. It is marked by the prominent hillock about 200 metres high, locally named "Baroghutu" (Baro- twelve, ghutu-/stones/hill). The tribal (mostly santals) hamlets of Baroghutu, Jambeda, Kumorbahal, Dhagora and Mukutmanipur encircle this hillock. With a landscape that seems naturally designed for adventure, Mukutmanipur offers opportunities in rock climbing, trekking and a variety of water sports.
The local tribal festivals, Tusu, Bhadu, Sahrai and Badna are symbolized by fascinating music and dance, and strengthen the Mukutmanipur experience, laden with the relaxed air of nature in the heartland. The Bankura district has a tribal population famous for its music, art and culture. Mukutmanipur is one such quaint village in Bankura district of West Bengal.
SANTALS
The Santhal (also spelled as Santal) are one of the Tribal peoples who live mainly in the states of Jharkhand, West Bengal, Bihar, Odisha, and Assam. They are one of the largest tribal community and one of the most studied tribal religions in India. The insurrection of the Santhals was mainly against the British and their supporters. On 30 June 1855 the Santhal rebel leaders Sidhu Murmu and Kanu Murmu mobilized 30 thousand Santhals and declared a rebellion against the British Raj (regime).
The Santhals are an agricultural tribe, from time immemorial they have cleared forests, toiled the land, and produced food for subsistence. Beside agriculture they also domesticate animals. Apart from these the Santhals also are well versed in the art of hunting, where their exceptional skills with bow and arrows is noticeable.
SANTALI CULTURE
The Santhali culture has attracted many scholars and anthropologists for decades. Unlike many other tribal groups of the Indian subcontinent, the Santhals have preserved their native language despite waves of migrations and invasions such as Aryan, Hun, Mughals, Europeans, and others.
