La directora encargada de Prosperidad Social, Mariana Escobar Arango realizó seguimiento a los proyectos del programa Familias en su Tierra -FEST-, entre los que se encuentra "Tiendas de Paz" en el municipio de Cocorná. En la jornada, estuvo acompañada del Presidente de la Fundación Bavaria, Jorge Bedoya, así como de funcionarios de la Presidencia de la Republica y del Ministerio de Agricultura.
Familias en su Tierra, FEST, es el programa de Prosperidad Social, orientado a los hogares que ya han retornado o han sido reubicados en nuevos espacios luego de ser víctimas del desplazamiento forzoso. En 2015, en el municipio de Cocorná, se han atendido más de 2.100 familias que representan cerca de 10.500 personas.
"Realizar acompañamiento a estas familias que han sido víctimas del desplazamiento y de la violencia del país es gratificante porque nos permite continuar con su reparación integral. Desde Prosperidad Social venimos realizando intervenciones integrales para devolverles la esperanza y la seguridad de poder rehacer sus vidas en los territorios de origen" aseguró Mariana Escobar durante su visita al municipio.
TIENDAS DE PAZ
El proyecto "Tiendas de Paz" se inició en octubre de 2011 con la Alianza Público – Privada entre Prosperidad Social y la Fundación Bavaria. Su objetivo es retomar la tradición de las tiendas comunitarias que habían impulsado las comunidades retornadas años atrás.
Con las Tiendas de Paz se pretende incrementar los ingresos de las familias, tener centros de acopio y a través de ejercicios como el trueque, lograr impacto y sostenibilidad en la reactivación de la economía local.
Hasta la fecha, se han apoyado 29 tiendas en los departamentos de Antioquia y Cesar, con una inversión de $2 mil millones por parte de Prosperidad Social y Fundación Bavaria. / Nov. 19, 2015. (Fotografía Oficial Prosperidad Social / Emilio Aparicio Rodríguez).

Brighter Bites is a collaborative effort designed to improve access to healthy, affordable food and provide nutrition education. The University of Texas School of Public Health, KIPP Schools, the Houston Food Bank and Texas Children's Hospital have partnered to offer the 16-week program to third-grade children enrolled at KIPP Explore Academy and their parents. As you can see from the photos, those healthy kale smoothies are a hit!

The Florida International University (FIU) College of Business Mentoring Program Kick-off gave mentors and mentees the opportunity to meet. The breakfast included speakers, networking and two break out sessions for the mentors and mentees to hear more information about the program.

Our chair is a 3-Dimensional, abstract interpretation of a Mondrian painting. Its purpose is to be an aesthetically pleasing sculpture. Our inspiration came from Mondrian paintings and the process of transforming a 2-Dimensional artwork into a 3-Dimensional Form.
We really enjoy participating in art initiatives within the local community and contributing to the OCRI Breakfast Program.

Shah Alam, 13/03/2012 - Saya melancarkan Program Transformasi Lima Tahun YBK sempena ulang tahun ke-22 yayasan itu di sini Selasa.
Yayasan Basmi Kemiskinan (YBK) mampu menjadi rakan strategik kepada kerajaan Persekutuan dalam usahanya membasmi kemiskinan rakyat.
Antara objektif program itu ialah meningkatkan kapasiti Asrama Kasih YBK di Serendah kepada 1,250 pelajar pada 2016 berbading 1,000 pelajar sekarang dan juga meningkatkan pengambilan pelajar di Pusat Latihan YBK daripada 1,161 pelatih kepada 9,111 dalam tempoh yang sama.
Pada majlis ini juga, saya menyaksikan pertukaran memorandum persefahaman antara Akademi Kemahiran YBK dengan syarikat MIGHT METEOR Advanced Manufacturing Sdn Bhd dan Akademi Mutiara YBK Sdn Bhd dengan A.H. Razali Sdn Bhd, Manpower Addition Sdn Bhd, R.B.H Enterprise, Pancaran Asas Sdn Bhd, BBS Tas Con Enterprise Sdn Bhd dan Zedcon Engineering (M) Sdn Bhd.
Saya juga turu menyaksikan anak syarikat YBK, YBK Usahasama Sdn Bhd menerima surat tawaran kemudahan pembiayaan bernilai RM31.9 juta daripada Malaysia Building Society Bhd bagi pembiayaan sebahagian kos pembinaan Universiti Teknologi MARA Jasin.
The Seabiscuit program took place on August 2003 at Countryside.
Seabiscuit's former jockey lives locally and he described the world of thoroughbred racing in the 1930s when Seabiscuit was the “all-star” of all time. He shared a scrapbook filled with his racing career highlights and shared many memories. The library was filled to capacity that day.
