After exhibiting in Antwerp and Venice, in 1999 the company moved to a new house known as Kanaal, located in Wijnegem, twenty minutes east of Antwerp. Originally built in 1857, the sprawling site was a former distillery and malting complex. The existing architecture included brick warehouses and concrete grain silos located along the banks of the Albert Canal.
The initial development of the Kanaal included the installation of corporate offices and studios. This was quickly followed by the acquisition of permanent art installations, such as Anish Kapoor's At the Edge of the World. A plan has been devised to make Kanaal a cultural and residential center, a process that began in the early 2000s.
The site's transformation plans have built on the character and history of the original buildings to give the whole area an authentic new lease of life. This is a central feature of many of our projects. Dick Vervoordt led an ambitious plan to combine the efforts of three teams of architects - Bogdan & Van Broeck, Coussée & Goris, Stéphane Beel - with landscaper Michel Desvigne. Quality of life was a top priority and plans were made to adapt the design from the inside out, converting old buildings into new living and working spaces.

The gallery's first program included a specialty in post-war and contemporary art with a particular focus on art from Europe, Japan and Korea, particularly art from the ZERO and Gutai movements. The focus on Dansaekhwa followed, as the gallery's program and its participation in global art fairs grew in importance and its roster of artists grew.
An Eastbound UP tank train passes by the Oak Park green line Subway station, in Oak Park outside Chicago. Leading is UP’s Employee Assistance Program unit, which caught me off guard completely until I saw the stickers on the side.
Our forests and our fields are undergoing programmed death. For the maximum economic return, to maximize profits, they are depleted, exploited and killed.
And yet it's the only thing that makes us live. Until then, we can not feed ourselves with plastic or derivatives of petrol.
Why sign their death? Why exterminate them?

Last week I was in San Diego to help train some of the folks at Best Buy. One of the more extensive retail training programs I have ever seen, Best Buy takes key people out of their store for a week... flies them to someplace like San Diego. There they spend time with professional photographers and manufacturer's reps learning the gear and techniques needed to talk with you.
One of the stops was "Action".
When CMF series 15 and 16 came out with the cyborg figs, I thought combining them together with other parts would make a good Tron program.

The early 393 led me to the start path, chasing through Mechanic Falls, Oxford, Paris and Bryant Pond. Here at Mechanic Falls, you can already see the light starting to draw lower, so the challenge again this time of year is to get some great parting shots but luck was with me today as I had light all the way through Oxford. Seen at the 'Dish' Apartment in downtown Mechanic Falls with a bit of hustle.

The Canon AE-1 Program is a 35 mm single-lens reflex camera that uses Canon's FD mount lenses. It was introduced in 1981 as the successor to the Canon AE-1, five years after that camera's introduction. The major difference was the addition of the Program AE mode first seen in the A-1 (wiki)

Georgia wildflowers grow alongside an exit ramp. This is part of the Georgia D.O.T.'s Wildflower Program which began in 1974 when Virginia Hand Callaway started the movement to plant and protect wildflowers on the roadsides. Later, former First Lady Rosalynn Carter met with Lady Bird Johnson to discuss the highly-successful Texas Wildflower Program. Following the trip, the Georgia D.O.T. enthusiastically endorsed the program for implementation here.
Not only are they pretty - and sometimes stunning - to look at, the program also helps to restore and preserve native flora, and because these native flowers are already adapted to soil and climate conditions, they need little to no maintenance.

This photo isn’t about power lines so much as it is about tree trimming. You are driving along looking at beautiful trees along the road and you come across this ugly, misshapen u-shaped tree. It has been pruned to allow the power lines to pass though the branches. Tell me who would trim a tree like this? Someone with a dull chainsaw and no sense or knowledge of trees? I know the linemen don’t have time to prune trees unless there is an emergency (with a tree on the line.) In this area the power company hires a contractor to prune the trees. I say, hire someone else! Why wouldn’t you just cut the tree to an even height below the power lines. That one huge limb hanging over the road just looks ridiculous and is probably a danger in high winds. This isn’t even the worst tree. There was just nowhere to pull over to a get a shot of the other ones.
Sorry for the rant, but really...
