With face tattoos that looks quite interesting on and reflects my mood lately.
Tattoos are from Little Pricks...bought on SLMarketplace
Playing around with various treatments in Photoshop and Picnik, I found some quite dramatic results on shots (of people) I'd taken at one of my son's football matches.
I guess this is quite stylised, but I like it.
No questions asked... this one saw my camera and immediately turned and gave me a profile shot. I am most impressed with his eyelashes. He is a bird of prey and hails from the continent of Africa.
I caught this profile of a Muscovy Duck at the lake near Cookeville, Tennessee. Its face and neck provide an interesting palette of colors, patterns, and textures. Apparently the red blister-like looking objects on its face are called watties. I don't know if this is the feral or domestic variety.

It was just as well she gave me her profile since the other side of her face would not have been so flattering since she rolled in mud.
A profile view of Atlas the male lion of the Walter zoo, relaxing. You can see that he just got into a small fight!
Not originally my idea, just saw a same kind of photo one day and thought that I'll have to test it out myself too.
Lighting:
* High contrast side profile for easy editing: bare SB-600 @ 1/2 behind me to the wall and minimum ambient light.
* Front: SB-600 through a shoot through umbrella high behind the camera.
