Burton Snowboards RED Protection Avid helmet kept ti real simple in terms of graphics. Harking back to the basis for all design/art, a "Simple Shapes" theme that focuses around clean, sharp lines and right angles provides an easy canvas to work with. Combined with premium materials, this helmet's clean lines will transfer to the slopes easily.
One of my first car renderings - inspired from a magazine ad.

The physical characteristics of this book influence its function. Whenever possible design objects to afford their intended function.
Similarly, mimicking the properties of familiar objects enables benefits afforded by those properties.
In this example, the book uses surface mimicry (looks like a shoe) and functional mimicry (works like a shoe with laces) to create a design which is obvious in its function, use and desirability.
ZURB Wired 2013: Meet Rebuilding Together Pennisula, a bay area non-profit organization that takes on the challenge of helping our neighbors receive needed home repairs and enhancements to improve health, safety, and well-being.
The ZURB Wired 24-hour marathon is where our team and the team from one lucky local nonprofit get together to do something great in 24 hours. We spend the day helping the nonprofit solve a big challenge; whether it be marketing for an upcoming event, or completely overhauling their brand—and we get it all done in 24 hours.
ZURB is a close-knit team of product designers that help companies design better. (www.zurb.com).

“Mother, wife, twin sister, acclaimed designer, Maira Koutsoudakis is as eloquent as she is creative. She clearly is a favourite amongst her past lecturers, clients and peers. She has spun her magic in many an interior. Restaurants, lodges, resorts, corporate interiors and distinguished homes have been brought to life by her touch. She has worked in Qatar, Antananarivo, Greece, Britain, the Seychelles, Madagascar and throughout southern Africa. Her work has been described as soulfully earthy, yet sometimes quirky with a sense of humour, unapologetically South African in its genre”
