I'm very surprised that the curators chose to include the Nikon F4 but not the original Nikon F. Also, no Leicas?

This was a ditched bar cooler found-on-Lexington Avenue in Manhattan one Sunday evening. I'd spotted it on the curb, prior to going into a dinner with friends & couldn't get it out of my mind. I swore to my mate I was going to get it if someone didn't pick it up by the time we finished. He thought I was joking!

You see, in NYC, it's a very difficult endeavour to get a taxi to pick you up when you have something bulky . So there is the fine NYC art of bait-and-switching the taxi drivers, but you need two people to really pull it off properly!

The cooler was filthy and passers-by had thrown rubbish in it, as if it were for that purpose! Then again, that's NYC - at least they made an effort not to litter, right? The rubbish truck was literally pulling up as (my date) and I frantically waved them away from the booty. I could tell by the way the men were looking @ me they thought I'd lost my mind & it made me even more determined to get this thing to my space & work my eyewash design magic on the discarded baby. The ride cost $70.00 & the taxi driver then tried to break into our building the following evening, but I got it back to The Rock!

After much cleaning & brainstorming transformative ideas with my creative partner (he wanted to turn it into a planter with tall trees inside), I finally just schvoogied some clamp lights - sans the metal bulbus part inside it on the bottom, grabbed a piece of glass I already had (I collect tabletop glass - never know when you'll need to turn anything into a table!) and - voila! A light box table. In my head, there are castor wheels affixed to the bottom, so it can be easily wheeled around- and still wheel (lol), I meant, will put them on. However, as you can see from the photos the table is simply fabulous - with or without the wheels. And boy did it come in handy during our recent heatwave!

Haven't had a chance to test it out at a party, but am itching to. May have some cause to celebrate really soon, so, let's see!

My plan was to upload the entire MOC today however two Bricklink orders have yet to arrive which contain a couple of pieces to complete the model. I can ensure you it will be uploaded between now and mid-August 2016.

I cannot wait to finally share the results with you guys after working on this concept for three years with breaks in-between. It will be the biggest MOC I've ever created with over 3,500 pieces! (Yup, that part freaked me out too!)

Presenting my LEGO Architecture interpretation of one of the most iconic landmarks ever constructed - Taj Mahal.

When redesigning and revisiting this MOC I felt I was going back in time given it was based off my first ever MOC I ever created. It was a very unique insight seeing how my designs and the ability to replicate features and elements into a LEGO model have improved.

isn't this supposed to be the place where the magic happens?

so, not for me, as the bed points directly @ the library, but still there are books stashed. i think i might have an addiction! quick, help!

in actuality, this bed is nearly 100% recycled (linens purchased @ a sample sale). those are pallets i lugged in, cleaned, &tc. to give my bed a well deserved lift. and of course, there's the storage factor. seems i can never have enough books, or interesting places in which to store them!

Presenting my LEGO Architecture interpretation of Caerphilly Castle; a commissioned model for Cadw with Little Big Art.

I’ve captured and replicated the architectural essence of Caerphilly Castle, such as the iconic leaning tower and the ruins across the landmark.

The structure is designed to provide a true-to-life colour and relative scale depiction adding an extra dimension and feel of authenticity to this detailed recreation of Wales’ biggest castle!
