Design for this back-to-school line offered high school and college students organization, style, and comfort. Shoulder straps incorporated smooth polyester jersey at neck and shoulder contact points to improve comfort over standard edge-bound straps. www.dancurtissid.com
Trophy designed for the Edmiston Range Rover Design Competition produced whilst employed at Land Rover. It was presented to Andrew Winch Design, who won the competition. We used Maya Fluids to create the wave pattern, converted the fluids into a polygon mesh and then milled in wood.

Burton Snowboards RED Protection Avid helmet kept ti real simple in terms of graphics. Harking back to the basis for all design/art, a "Simple Shapes" theme that focuses around clean, sharp lines and right angles provides an easy canvas to work with. Combined with premium materials, this helmet's clean lines will transfer to the slopes easily.
Bottle is made of glass, and the cap is plastic.
When opened, cap becomes cup, so you can drink from it, and give a bottle to someone else to drink.

These exemplars were exhibited by the SQA in Edinburgh in 2007. There are clear similarities in the approach used in Scottish Art departments and the approaches used in the Higher Grade Product Design course. The chair exemplar shows some excellent investigation and development work. Excellent product modelling in evidence too.

I created this kit on how to make wire jewelry with beads as part of a series of jewelry making kits for Shure Products, Inc. All of these kits were designed by me from concept to completion. This included researching competition, conceiving ideas, making the jewelry by hand, photographing the jewelry, hiring models ages 11-15, negotiating their contracts, buying clothing and props for photoshoot, scouting locations for shoot, styling set and models, shooting models in various poses wearing the jewelry I made, then designing packaging, specifying and costing exact items to be included in the kit, explaining (mainly through graphics) to China factories what to put in and how to put it in kit, designing blister including cardboard inserts, designing cardboard inserts, finalizing artwork to properly fit into dielines, creating prototypes, and photographing prototypes to enter into Shure Products catalog for wholesale market.
