Kenneth Grange is the focus of a major retrospective exhibition at the Design Museum from 20 July to 30 October. The exhibition, Making Britain Modern contains over 150 individual products, prototypes and sketches. Photograph by Jonathan Burr.

Funniest bird I've encountered in a while. This guy popped up on the side of the road while I was stopped to photograph the scenery. He reminded me a bit like a fumbling professor, darting one way, then retreats, then ducks, pop up, darts, repeat. Funny creature to watch.

BATH SYSTEM
This is both a ceramic basin and a large container. Built on different levels with straight walls, it imposes order and offers space to store objects and neatly keep them in their place.
Design and build a drum using large cardboard tubes and other materials. Decorate the drum using glue, paper, acrylics, and/or other supplies that may be available in the classroom or at home.
Creating Usability with Motion: 12 Principles of UX in Motion. Led by prototyping and motion usability expert Issara Willenskomer the 3 hour workshop introduced participants to the concepts and use of motion in usability. Afterwards we were encouraged to critique and discuss how these principals are found in popular motion examples. Issara’s energy, expertise and dedication to the topic made for a fun and enlightening evening. I highly recommend anyone interested in doing better motion for products to sign up for his workshop.
Lighting Project by School of the Arts
Design a lighting product to be used next to your bed on a side table. Identify the key functionalities of the product and go through a design and development process resulting in a working prototype.
