Hey everyone! I hope you've been enjoying this Summer Sunday to it's fullest! I was blessed to be witness to the remarkable and beautiful sight of a pair of Swallowtails sharing the pinnacle of their life cycle, assuring that a new generation will follow...I was quite astonished that I actually encountered this pair...I've never seen Swallowtails paired up before!
Have a beautiful week ahead, ya'll!

Painted on the iPad 2 with Procreate, text imported from InkPad.
It was recently Elliott's birthday so I thought I would paint him once again. It's been a while since I had painted him. This is the 1st done on the iPad. He's positively the person whom I painted the most, this being my 4th. Why have I painted him so many times? You might ask. Well he may not be the most pretty subject but when you hear his music you'll really understand his beauty. His music has literally shaped my music taste and appreciation. Despite is rough exterior he has one the most beautiful voices and is one most kind and gentle human beings you could know. His music has influenced me so much that I have to paint him and I am sure this won't be the last. Elliott Smith, unfortunately, at such a young age killed him self. Coincidentally about a week after he died I had decided to give painting with acrylics a try. Not having experience with painting and needing a subject for m 1st try I thought Elliott would be perfect not knowing that he had died. I was so sad when I found out about what happened. It still makes me sad thinking about it. I am just glad to have his music to remind me of him and his affect on my life. My favorite albums are "XO" and "Either/Or" .
