So its Monday morning first period. Im running on little sleep and no food seeing how i forgot to eat this morning.
Im in Video production 1. a very nice, not very complicated class. What should i be doing?
1.) Filming my adapt a story project.
2.) researching for my finale project which is due next week.
3.) Working on my math chapter review paper which is due next period which starts in...15 minutes or less.
and what am i doing? I am just sitting here...at the computer...lazily staring at my computer wondering if i can find an idea for my final project, wondering if i can film during 3rd period study hall today, wondering if i can get 2 pages of hard ass algebra 2 problems done in 10 minutes(I think not)
When in truth i know these things will not happen today. It is a monday morning...with little sleep and an empty stomach...argo im deprived of animation. (not literally). Im here on flickr, easily distracted. I also have the need to read Awakening which is now on my lap, whispering my name, begging to be opened. Im not exaggerating, here listen "Samantha, Samantha, read me. You know you want to." Ah hell.
And that my friends, is procrastination at its finest.
On this, the final day of a long weekend, I set myself the task of clearing my very large, very cluttered desk...
As you can see, I got sidetracked looking at Explore, and couldn't even be bothered to shoot my 365 pic in colour!
Tsk, tsk....
I should be taking some artistic self portrait but instead I'm just looking at other peoples' pretty pictures.

The daycare produces a fair amount of laundry, although not nearly as much as it did when we were grooming. I try and keep up as well as I can, but coming home at night and doing laundry, is not my idea of a good time. And to top it off, Lu loves to sleep on the blankets in the bin. I couldn't possibly disturb her - that would just be cruel. Hence why the laundry still isn't done. That's my story, and I'm sticking to it.
Note: I hate that dark bar on the left, but I'm too tired to try and get rid of it. That is one of the main reasons I hate indoor photos - there is almost always something that needs to be edited out.
This was taken up at Mount Cotton in Queensland.
Also, because I'm procrastinating; here's some English:
'Vincent' - Tim Burton; in regards to Belonging~
The 1982 short animation 'Vincent' by Tim Burton demonstrates the concept of not-belonging. This is conveyed by the protagonist character, Vincent, who withdraws into his imaginative nightmarish fantasies of Gothic Fiction and Horror due to the fact that he is different . In the animation his mother demands he try to be a normal 7 year old boy ("You're not Vincent Price, you're Vincent Malloy. / You're not tormented, you're just a young boy"). This juxtaposition of ideas depicts how an individual may choose to belong, or in Vincent's situation why one might choose not to belong. (He's choice to not belong is evident in the rhyming couplet: "He doesn't mind living with his sister, dog and cat, / Though he'd rather share a home with spiders and bats) - this emphasises his CHOICE to not belong ~he would rather live his nightmarish fantasies rather than reality ("where he could reflect on the horror's he's invented / And wander dark hallways alone and tormented). - The image of alone, torment and alienation is further depicted in the last panel of the animation, where Vincent lies small within a blanket of darkness, alone, and isolated from everything else in the world.
2 sides of starlight, starbright, procrastination quilt. As close as I can tell this was started as a friendship quilt in 1989 with friends from a quilt shop here in Pa. A Patch of Country. No longer in business
Let's talk about procrastination techniques. Procrastination can be very productive. For instance, today I cleaned the bathroom while procrastinating and then I rewarded myself with a self-portrait session under the red heat lamp in the newly cleaned bathroom.
I got a few odd looks from my family members when they saw me leave the bathroom with my tripod and camera, but I'm happy with the results. All of the red photos (except this one) have been left in their original state so you can see the great lighting effects from the heat lamp.
It's the night before I leave for China - I will be teaching English to little children in Hefei City for the next four months. I'm trying to get everything on my bed into that open suitcase...I don't think it's going to happen.
Zoey is herein procrastinating the cleaning of her room.
Just FYI, it is now almost all clean!
To my right [your left] you can see these photobooth pictures. On my left in the background you're not supposed to see my Rhett Warrener and Sam Roberts "posters."
Sor far, all my photos have been taken and posted on the correct day. Yesterdays? No. I procrastinated.
If anyone asks, this was a deliberate deomonstration of today's/yesterday's P word.
Flylady has named Wednesdays as anti-procrastination day but for me during the school holidays everyday is a partial anti-procrastination day.
Mostly.
I WAS going to have an proper anti-procrastination day on Tuesday to include doing my paperwork and cleaning out the terrapin tank but on Tuesday I decided to leave anti-procrastination until the next day. I still haven't done it yet.
Makoto is posing in his new fleece. I saved all the little bits and some fabric from a fleece Owen wore out last year and this week, (thanks to a suggestion from Pookie following my failed attempts to knit) I finally sewed it all together.
Inspired by all the other fortune cookie pictures.
I don't really like this. I'll probably delete later.
"Procrastination is the fear of success."
I'm supposed to be writing an essay, so obviously I'm procrastinating and playing with my flash!
It's only 1500 words, but that's still more than I've written in a long time. I don't know how to start (or finish, or do the bit in the middle).
got a bit lazy with a couple shots from my 365. waited till late at night when i wanted to sleep so i just took a picture of whatever was in front of me. thought this looked kinda funky with the glass in front of it. wasn't going to be able to take a picture the next day so this is my 29
I should be working toward an upcoming deadline but I've been playing with children and organizing this. Much more important activities for a Saturday wouldn't you say?
The container is a garden cloche for protecting seedlings but I've used it to stash ribbons in for the last 5 or 6 years. It looks like I've never organized them, that would be because I have never organized them ;)
The Procrastinator 600 has been a long time in the making. I was going to finish it yesterday and the day before that, but it's procrastination module was so strong it was impossible to finish. I had to use my time machine to go back and forwards constantly through time to get it done, so in the end it was finished before I started it, which proved the procrastination part useless!
