Procrastinate: to keep delaying something that must be done, often because it is unpleasant or boring.
This goes to Shoosh, that's all I could get done yesterday, so I basically showed you my art coursework haha :P
(013/365) My Flickr friends might recognise the photo on this jigsaw puzzle box. It's a photo I took of Penny & Bella at nearby Booley Bay on Christmas Eve. I liked it so much I decided to look into having the photo made into a jigsaw puzzle.
Turns out to be a relatively straightforward procedure with www.photopuzzle.ie/ who are actually a German based company. The website is easy to navigate, you upload your photo & it tells you straight away if it's a high enough resolution or not. You choose how many pieces you want the puzzle to be & the wording for the box. It's that simple.
The end product arrived within 2 weeks & I'm very impressed with the quality. The hard part is going to actually be doing the puzzle. There are so many other distractions; Flickr, getting seeds started off for the polytunnel, Flickr, dogs, chickens, not to mention an online Diploma in Foraging that I have signed up for. Watch this space, I hope to make a start next week.

Procrastination because I should have been doing yard work, and experimentation because it was my first go with the AI-S Nikkor 50mm f/1.2, an all-manual lens I picked up used on eBay and learned of from Russ Barnes' blog on Nikon old skool---vintage glass without antique prices. It's not razor sharp at f/1.2, but produces some sweet "artistic" bokeh (so they say). It's a solid, gem of a lens.

Well, they're unicorns made from champagne bottle cages and the foil from the top.
What did you think they were?

It's been a gray and rainy day; which is just perfect for laundry and reading. As much as I dislike gray weather on the weekend, it does allow for things to get done in the house.
Responsibilities. Sigh. In order to procrastinate 'adulting' a bit more, I went shopping and to have coffee with Mom this morning allowing me to spend time with her and to delay laundry a little longer.
Sadly; all good things come to an end, like the book in the picture. With all my procrastinating out of the way, I gathered the laundry and ventured down to the basement.
Caught up now and somewhat ready for another work week, so Sunday accomplished I guess?
Anyway, hope everyone has had a good day.

Took this with my blackberry because Rich had already packed up all the camera gear for our trip. I must get to bed since we have to wake up in 5 hours and drive up to LA to catch our flight...ALOHA!

I have dozens of photographs from Upper and Lower Antelope canyon waiting to be processed. But I'm not looking forward to the PS work. So here's an image that didn't require much processing.
This was taken in the library with my computer. I am right now done one 5 page essay and about to start the second. They are both due tomorrow.
Nothing like a little bit of healthy procrastination.
Also, I apologize about sucking at (flickr) life lately.
Well, back to the books!

I should be grading papers, or doing many other important things, but instead I am playing with filters in Photoshop. I found this "extrude" option under the stylize filter
We've been away on vacation for the past couple of weeks and the only access I've had to Flickr has been through my smart phone. The trip was planned by procrastination, which means the initial plan called for a flight to eastern Canada. However, when that didn't happen, we decided to drive. The thought or reserving motels or campsites through the busy holiday season also came up in our discussions but that didn't materialize either. Driving by the seat of our pants, so to speak, we relied on luck, which actually worked out very well - in one case we managed to get the very last available campsite in Fundy National Park.
This image includes the old Lighthouse on Cape Jourimain, which was built in 1870. It's one of the most photographed lighthouses in Canada and has quite a picturesque setting near the Confederation Bridge, which links Prince Edward Island to New Brunswick. It was declared surplus in 2010 and has not been maintained for some time. It's currently in the process of being moved back a few feet to prevent it from toppling into the sea as shoreline erosion brings the sea closer and closer.
I was supposed to be doing yard work - instead I decided to procrastinate:)
Please feel free to visit my portfolio to see more of my photography or to purchase prints.

So for some reason, I always have to take a 2 hour project and turn it into a 2 day project.
I have been wanting to make a new sleeve for my Ipad 2 for a while now but could never settle on a fabric. I finally decided to use this far far away 2 fabric and add a snippet of the poem embroidered on some moda bella. I am so in love with how this turned out.
onto the next project!!!
ETA: tutorial for the sleeve from here!
Christmas vacation went by SO fast, but I think it was because I spent a week or so sick.
Thankfully I'm better now, but I'm sure as hell not ready to get back into the swing of school-related things. I can't believe I'm going back to school in TWO DAYS. I haven't handwritten anything since we were dismissed for the break. I haven't picked up a book in the past week either. Oh, and I don't remember a blessed thing I was taught two weeks ago! Way to be, right?
I've been spending a lot of time on the computer or watching TV. Yeaaaaaah, I'm super lazy. I'm pretty sure I have one or two things I have to do for homework, but I have no intentions of actually doing it 0:) I don't even know if I wrote it down anywhere....
Other than my unnecessary rambling, today was a good day for me! One of the band members in my favorite band messaged me today and it was asjghljkashg great<3
