How I do a tattoo: a sketch in pencil (on the surface of the doll), tracings by Rapidographs, painting and adding details.
And how do you?))

Dreamers by Cica Ghost
In a surreal world canopied by a magical sky, sixteen figures look upward to dream. This is one of their dreams brought back to the kitchen table.

I am constantly fascinated by the artistic process. Inspirations and methods.. This is another from my friend's studio www.vivona.net .
These are the first in a series I have been working on. I want to take a closer look at the work of creativity. What are the things around them.. An artist's studio is in itself a piece of art because it reflects so much of the artist's character and style.

OK, so this city is also admirably suited to slider fun. Here are a few painterly shots of early morning at the famous Tram 28 and the pedestrian mecca in the downtown core - Praca do Comercio. (See the two comment boxes below.)
Yesterday I found a California Scrub Jay but it was very foggy. The photos were far from ideal but I played around with the processing trying to get something acceptable to me. The fog gave the photos a blue cast or you lost the detail completely. Processing relieved some of that but they ended up darker than I liked.
I was not real happy with any of the photos. If the bird was not so uncommon I would have just scrapped the shots because you never know when you will see another. I will make another attempt to get more photos in better light conditions.
He he, Just to prove that I can take a picture without having to process it! This is straight off the camera - just cropped a little.
I love the editing process the most but this Osteospermum just glowed in the late afternoon sunshine of early Autumn and I think any editing would have detracted from the natural beauty so here it is in all it's naked glory!
I’m introducing a new term in the dictionary “Process Fatigue”, defined as “Spending hours processing an image, being unhappy with the results and then in desperation clicking on a preset only to like it more than your own edit”… oh well, at least I like the final result, so much so that I decided to go the whole-hog and blur the clouds and water for a long-exposure effect.
Here's some screen shots of the donations being processed through my account to donate to The Hunger Project!
Just got home from Thanksgiving with friends and family so hopefully by Monday or Tuesday the money should be in my paypal, and I'll post the receipts of that transaction as well! You can follow this process more closely on the blog.
