Not your standard mosaic output. This is a still from a fullscreen webcam mosaic application made with Processing.

Every 'pixel' of this still is an image taken from a live webcam (in this case, the built-in iSight on my MacBook Pro), analyzed for red green and blue values, placed into an [r][g][b] image array, and placed back on the screen when the corresponding webcam pixel asks for a specific rgb image. So, the final output is composed of several hundred different input images. Runs as a fullscreen application at 20 to 25 fps. Hurray!

Hammer milling. As native seed comes in from the field, it is processed in order to produce clean seed ready for spreading on restored areas. Hammer milling is the first step in the cleaning process, releasing seed from capsules and breaking apart seed clusters. Processing, storage and management of the native seed harvest is done at the Dane County Seed Shed attached to the William G. Lunney Lake Farm County Park, part of the Capital Springs Recreation Area.

Having an idea, figuring out how and setting it up, is at least half the fun of macro photography.

After cutting all the paper by hand with an exacto knife and ruler (from enormous 25x40 sheets), and emulsifying/burning the screen, I prepared to lay down the first color...not having screenprinted in 8 years! A deep breath at this moment.

Went for a harsh processing look on this shot.

Lines traced by lots of boids, derived from Craig Reynolds steering behaviors as adapted by Daniel Shiffman, using my IgnoCodeLib now with special ingredient TurtleGraphics.

Food processor cuts out most of the work; in goes the flour, yeast and water mixture and the oil and water mixture and 45 seconds later, here it is.

Heat-Sink-Fan died on this AMD Athlon Processor. I took this picture to remember what a fried CPU would look like.

this was a new experiment - i etched the photo into a loose sheet of very thin paper and then glued it down over a collaged area.

I'm working on a painting today. First step is transferring the printed out line drawing to watercolor paper. I use some ghetto carbon paper I made, taped to the back of the drawing.

This is my first collab with @thiagomb_ and we archive some cosmic travel with this edit!!!

I had a enormous pleasure in this collab, Thiago and came with some really cool concept from my water triangle!!! Please go check @thiagomb_ gallery and enjoy some amazing edits!!!

I decided to see what this picture would look like cross processed. If you would like to see the original please take a look in my unusual oddities folder.

Got sidetracked by spirals again. Every project I work on seems to get all spirally eventually.

Again playing with Processing code from here: www.generative-gestaltung.de/code
