Polaroid CP3 Experimental process
Have you ever seen something you have been imagining for days and never spoken of, suddenly represented by another artist in Flickr?? Has it ever happened to you that the type of art you do suddenly appears in your favourite artist or bands´ artwork without them having possibly known? This sort of coincidence is known as Synchronicity but a group of artists and I have been observing the amount of times these coincidences happen. It has happened at least once to almost every person. This is a glimpse of what the scientific term of Collective Unconscious means and how it permeates reality, as science has shown before. The experiment we are about to embark on is based not on promoting synchronistic phenomena but merely on registering each time this happens until we have a large list of these synchronistic phenomena and can find general common factors. There is a place where all thoughts from everyone come together, the place where we dream things that happen or that dont, the place of beauty and art, our dreams. If this has happened to you, you would be helping an ongoing investigation if either you just mentioned it has happened to you (the mere affirmative has statistical value) or you kindly described your case as a comment on this journal. I will let all those who participate know the final result.
Social network graph of #slaname tweet replies October 14, 2009 to December 11, 2009.
The thicker the line the more times you sent an @reply to that person. The more lines you have, the more @replies to different people you sent. If you don't appear on the graph, but know that you sent out @replies, it's because the person you sent your @reply to never sent out an @reply and so that person won't appear on the graph and unfortunately, you can't either!
Based on the code of www.eskimoblood.de/2008/02/09/how-to-draw-a-network-graph/.

100 particles flock over a sheet of paper. Each particle has a tail. Each particle also releases a fine spray of ink. If the particle is low enough, the tail will drag across the paper leaving a sharp line. The higher the particle, the larger the diameter of the ink spray. Study for a larger project. Made with Processing.

People moving through a space leave traces. Uses Processing and BlobScanner. The marks at the top of the screen is a passing pigeon. See the video mixed with the source footage on Vimeo: vimeo.com/24357611 or more info at my blog: velvetkevorkian.wordpress.com.
8/52 [Study Process]
This weeks theme was "Books" so before i went to sleep, i thought of this idea, and to remember it, i got up from bed and actually wrote down the detail on the PC. Today (sunday), I got around to doing this, and also doing actual studying. Yep, too much procrastinating during the weekdays. I wanted to do this orig...inally in a library setting, but figured that i might not get permission to do it there so i just made a setting in my house. I would have preferred the library though. Well tell me what you guys think.
First upload is an almost random selection of photos. Mostly old ones as they are easier to look through on my computer.
But as I shot in RAW... with a little processing, the GND filter in Adobe RAW Converter and a bit of noise reduction, sharpening and "exposure painting" we could still salvage this shot.
BTW this is a crowd waiting for the prize presentation in the Trailerboat Fishing Tournament. An annual happening in Port Stephens bringing in people from all over New South Wales.

This year in our garden, we grew a patch of sugar beets.
The process for extracting the sugar is a long one, at least the first time you try it.
The directions I found were technical, and would be best performed with some machinery designed for the purpose, and of course Jean found some better instruction geared toward the home process.
I hope!
the Great Backyard Bird Count starts today-so get out there and get counting!

This is the process of unloading coke into stockpiles. The coke is unloaded into bins on the dock. Then front end loaders transfer the coke into dump trucks. The trucks then dump into the stockpile where it will be covered. 10/12/13
Homage to a print that Jared Tarbell sent me a while ago. Thanks for the inspiration JT (though yours is much more elegant... nice trick with the black orb with multiple specular highlights... sublime!). Rendered out at 5000x5000. Check the fullsize to see the detail.
