Same procedure as last week... I wasn't really happy with any of my images, and took several more (of the same subject) today, but in the end I decided to stick to an image taken last night. It's strange sometimes, isn't it? So here we go, circles, or rather holes of a reduction sieve (?) that came with my espresso maker. Each of the holes has a diameter of 1 mm / 0,03 inches. I wanted a very narrow focal plane and everything else as bokeh, and in that I guess I've succeeded – somehow. Well, I hope you like the image anyway, I've looked at it too many times yesterday and today, so I can't see the forest for the trees (or the coffee for the holes) :)
It's a single image illuminated with one LED lamp (equipped with the blue tealight holder), and backlight coming from another LED lamp (equipped with the yellow plastic bottle cap) on which I had also placed the sieve. Processed in DXO and Color Efex where I'd slightly tweaked the colours by adding some warmth with the Reflector Efex Gold filter.
HMM, Everyone!
...as last holidays. Every time since the little pier of Hvidbjerg Strand has been constructed I have to creep under the building to take a shot. It has become almost an obsession. Needless to say that this exercise is more convenient in Summer and times of low tide. Blavand, Jylland, Denmark
Photographing landscapes usually is following the same procedure for me. First I try to make a composition of the entire scene. When I have succeeded ore completely failed with that (this is happening more often than You may think) I'm changing to my telephoto lens and look out for interresting details around. This time it was this single birch tree clamping to the rocks, what was drawing my attention.

The same procedure every year. Two applications are required to fly a drone in Thailand. A kind of driving licence or personal licence from the CAAT and a specific drone licence from the NBTC. Both applications require a lot of paperwork, forms have to be filled out and uploaded, photos with serial numbers, entry documents, an insurance confirmation, a residence address. If all goes well, the application to the CAAT has already been approved before the trip and so the application can be submitted to the NBTC with the entry stamp on the day of arrival. Ideally, processing will take less than half a day and you will then be sent a transfer order. The fee is 224 baht including bank charges. In the end, you have two certificates that allow you to fly a drone legally. I wouldn't do it without the certificates, because if the worst comes to the worst, you are covered, especially in the event of an accident.
A wonderful scenery between Ao Nang and Railay, a special the view from above!
A person, who values the beauty of nature and ambient the world, far richer and happier than those, who did not notices this.
The same procedure as every year ... "Look, what a beautiful little tree ... come on, let's cut it off and slowly kill it in the dry apartment and when it's no longer nice, then we throw it in front of the door, someone will take care of it" ... 😈

"Traditionelles Ende eines Weihnachtsbaums"
Die selbe Prozedur wie jedes Jahr ... "Schau, was für ein schönes kleines Bäumchen ... komm wir schneiden es ab und töten es langsam in der trockenen Wohnung und wenn es nicht mehr schön ist, dann werfen wir es vor die Tür, es wird sich schon jemand drum kümmern" ... 😈
„The same procedure as last week, Sir Winter - but that would be enough now...“

Well my YAG procedure yesterday in my opinion (not that I am an ophthalmologist) seems to have gone very well. It's like, as many described to me "looking through super clean glasses".
I will go back in one month for a checkup. Right now I have a regime of eye drops again 3x day for 7 days in each eye and they sting like all get out. But, it's a small price to pay to be able to see.
I want to thank each and everyone who took the time to visit my little space here on Flickr. Have a super day!
The tours are well organized and prepared for emergencies. They have procedures to evacuate tourists for emergencies or claustrophobic anxieties. They DO NOT ALLOW tripods, monopods, or selfie sticks. They have apparently had problems with tourists.
This is an amazing place. Every turn shows a new amazing, colorful, glowing, canvas. It was easy to take lots of photos. The tough part was culling the photos when I got home.
There were 9 people (representing 4 families) and a guide in our group. The tours are a little under an hour from start to finish. We were the first of 4 or 5 groups in our time slot. The sent us in about 10 minutes apart. The guide is very informative and educational. There was some pressure to keep the group moving. The guide was helpful and took pictures of the families several times during the tour.

The Navajo name for Lower Antelope Canyon is Hasdez twazi’, which means “the spiral role arches.” Lower Antelope Canyon is about 3, 704 feet in elevation and the canyon walls are about 120 above the streambed. This canyon is more narrow to walk through, as it’s shaped like a “V”, so if you are claustrophobic this area is not for you. It goes into the slot canyon and have to maneuver thru closely on stairs, which is harder to walk through. This area is also located within the Le Chee Chapter of the Navajo Nation, near Page, Arizona.

Same procedure as last time. Still going through the archives and still finding images worth processing. Again a first version, tomorrow or at the weekend I'll take a final look and do a print to see if I need to refine.
This year we went to the same place but the light didn't come close to what I saw that morning, one year ago. I will try again next year :-)
cheers
Edit: fixed the saturation a bit. Now it's more natural I think

Major rebuilding of the mosque in 1219
The minaret and marble mihrab (1891) date from the Ottoman Empire.

The Breguet BR 1150 ATLANTIC procedure trainer is an almost fully equipped training cell for the training of the tactical crews of the maritime reconnaissance aircraft.
The Breguet Atlantic, also known as the BR 1150, is a maritime patrol aircraft (MPA) that was developed multinationally.
The aircraft is used for patrol flights as well as for submarine hunting.
The Breguet Atlantic is the only aircraft in the world that was built exclusively for this range of tasks from the outset, while other maritime reconnaissance aircraft are usually developed on the basis of civilian aircraft.
The machines of the German Navy are now retired, but are still in operation in other countries.
In addition to the version for the MPA task, the Bundeswehr also had the BR 1150 M equipment variant for telecommunications and electronic reconnaissance.

FROZEN SOAP BUBBLES
My personal procedure: Wait until it's -7 to -11 degrees F in northern Colorado, put on all of your North Pole Expedition outer wear and boots, choose one of the 24 different soap bubble solutions that you have created after doing some online research, take it outside and immediately spill some on your back porch, say a naughty word, decide where you want to create your bubble and then change your mind 62 times, set up your tripod and camera exactly where you need it and then try to lower your frozen tripod legs, say 2 naughty words, begin to blow your bubble, watch it blow away in .0000054 mile per hour breeze, say a REALLY naughty word, continue watching your bubbles blow away, finally get a bubble to begin to freeze and begin shooting, watch the crystals form in the bubble and giggle just a bit, watch the bubble pop, blow some new bubbles, watch them pop over and over again, say MANY nasty words in a row, ignore the frostbite now hitting your exposed skin, it just DOESN'T MATTER! ANYTHING FOR THE SHOT!
Repeat this process at night, early in the morning and late in the afternoon over 3 days.

Same procedure as every year.
We hope you all get what you wish for, we wish you and your loved ones a Merry Christmas.
