Today's photo was taken this morning in the Town of Kenilworth in Warwickshire. The view is inside the Parish Church of St Nicolas looking down the Nave towards the Chancel and Altar.

The photo was taken using the app ProCamera on my iPhone 6.

First I used the app Snapseed to edit the picture. I Cropped and Straightened the image and applied the Tonal Contrast preset. I decreased the Shadows and increased the Highlights. I then boosted the Saturation, Warmth and Ambiance. Next I used the app Mextures to apply the formula called Baja Sunrise by Justin Halbert. After this I used the app Brushstroke to apply the Gloss 02 painterly preset. Finally I used PhotoToaster to add the Contrast preset, the Cross Process FX and the Medium Dark Vignette. I then applied the Stucco texture and the Charcoal frame.

Today's image was taken earlier this evening in the City Centre of Coventry. The view is of Fords Hospital. The Grade I Listed building was built at the beginning of the 16th century. It was used as an Almshouse for some of the poor Men and Women of Coventry. After it was enlarged and modernised in the early 19th Century it became an Almshouse for Women only. Even though it it was nearly destroyed in the blitz on Coventry during the Second World War it was carefully restored and is still in use to this day.

The photo was taken using the App ProCamera on my iPhone 6.

First I used the app Camera+ to edit the image. I used the Clarity filter to boost the details of the picture, I also added a little saturation and extra brightness. Next I used DistressedFX to add the Cole overlay and the Lade texture. Finally I used the app Alt Photo to add the Expired (Pink Highlights) Toy Camera filter to the image and the Grungy (white, tabbed) Boarder. I think this helps to give the image a vintage look.

The image for today was taken this afternoon at the Baddesley Clinton National Trust property in Warwickshire. The view is of the the Four Poster bed that is situated in the Henry Ferrers bedroom. The bed nicely decorated for Christmas was constructed during the 19th Century using materials that dated back to the 17th Century. During the time that Henry Ferrers owned the property in the late 16th to early 17th Century, there were a lot of alterations made to the Manor House. These included the construction of Priest Hiding Holes, used to shelter Catholic Priests during the time that they were persecuted under the Rein of the Protestant Queen Elizabeth I.

The photo was taken using the app ProCamera on my iPhone 6.

Jour 74

C'est le titre qui m'est venu spontanément. J'ai aussi édité la photo dans ProCamera parce que j'aime les effets ou filtres qu'ils font.

It's the title that popped in my head spontaneously. I also edited the photo in ProCamera because I like the effects or filters they make.
