We all wake up now and then from a deep sleep, with a troubling math question that has just popped into our heads. Here's one:
In space, objects A and B are orbiting a common point. Object A is radius r from the center. Object B is at 2r from the central point. At time zero, A and B form a line with the center of the circle. A and B are traveling at the same velocity. At time zero + x, are we always able to calculate the distance between A' and B'? (This scenario doesn't need to involve space. It could involve two ants, walking around in circles on a piece of paper, etc.)
Kat probably had as many IPS dreams as I had last week, and went a little insane when we went to take a shower before the IPS final banquet on Friday.
So, of course, I took photos.
I have heard that the sight of a peacock would make Darwin sick. That is because there is absolutely no reason for a peacock to evolve those showy feathers. They do not help in survival; they actually make it easier for the big cats that prey on it to catch it, and they do not work for intimidation, either.
Dilemma? Not really. I'd say they were created on Day 5. :-)

Se agrava la bajante del rÃo Paraná: tocó su nivel más bajo en 49 años y genera pérdidas millonarias
Se profundizaron los problemas en la logÃstica en las terminales portuarias del Gran Rosario porque continúa en baja el caudal del agua desde mediados de marzo en la cuenca del rÃo Paraná y ayer miércoles tocó los 0,4 metros, el nivel más bajo en 49 años.
"La semana pasada la altura se encontraba en un metro, Hoy (por ayer miércoles) se ubicó en 0,4 metros y al finalizar el dÃa habÃa ascendido a 0,55 metros", indicó Julio Calzada, director de Informaciones y Estudios Económicos de la Bolsa de Comercio de Rosario. Según indicó, desde los puertos de norte del Gran Rosario, como San Lorenzo y San Martin, los barcos parten con 29 pies de profundidad mientras que los muelles ubicados al sur del Gran Rosario, y hasta General Lagos, los barcos se embarcan con 30 pies de profundidad cuando habitualmente se trasladan con 34 pies. Según explicó, en buques como Handysize o Handymax que normalmente cargan entre 35.000 y 40.000 toneladas, cada pie de calado que baja el rÃo representa una pérdida de dicha capacidad de carga de entre 1.500 y 1.800 toneladas. En un Panamax, con una capacidad de carga en tono a los 60.000 a 65.000 toneladas, perder 4 pies de profundidad implica dejar de cargar entre 7.500 toneladas por buque. De todas maneras, proyectan que volverán las lluvias a la zona que harÃan mejorar la situación. Según el climatólogo José Luis Aiello, esta semana se esperan lluvias en Argentina que se irÃan trasladándose desde el sur hasta el norte del paÃs, lo que ayudarÃa a crecer en el caudal de la Cuenca del Paraná-Paraguay. Y además apuntó que en los últimos dÃas de abril y primeros dÃas de mayo, existirÃa la posibilidad de lluvias sobre la zona central de Brasil y el área donde nace la cuenca del rio Paraná-Paraguay.
Cabe resaltar que los puertos del gran Rosario abarcan 70 kilómetros de costa sobre el rÃo Paraná donde a la vera se ubican 20 plantas de almacenamiento y procesamiento de granos, aceite y harina y es el complejo agroexportador más grande del mundo. Para Gustavo idÃgoras, presidente de la Cámara de la Industria Aceitera de la República Argentina y del Centro Exportador de Cereales (Ciara-Cec), la bajante del rÃo Paraná impacta de lleno en la industria agroexportadora porque ralentiza la carga diaria y el volumen total. Esta baja en la vÃa navegable se da porque los registros de lluvias han sido muy por debajo de lo normal en la cuenca de la HidrovÃa Paraná-Paraguay.

The newest version of Firefox, FF3 IS colour managed, however, by default it is turned off. The easiest way to get it to turn on is this:
1. Type about:config in the address bar(where you type URLs) and hit Enter
2. In the Filter field, type gfx
3. Double click gfx.color_management.enabled to change the setting to true
4. Quit and reset
