They look so close and yet. We got as close as seemed realistic to do given sore legs and feet. Here Joe looks on with longing...
I have a problem with library books.
My problem is I take too many out at once, and then I never read them. The reason I do this, is because I know if I don't take it out, I'll forget about the book and I will never ever take it out. Instead of forgetting about the book completely, I will take it out in anticipation of reading it... Sometime.
This is what I had taken out of the library when I shot this photo (minus the 3 books without number bars on the spines.) I didn't read any of them, except "How Pleasure Works" which I read about 3/4 of., and "Inside Scientology" which I read about 50 pages of.
I think it runs in the family, as Kailey used to do this all the time when she lived in London. You overestimate just how much time you will devote to reading, and this happens.
Oh well.
Now I'm doing it with DVDs!
This corner originally had a brick flower box which may have been original to the house (same color bricks, anyway), which was removed to put in the retaining wall. That revealed some problems a previous owner created, including a hacked-together drain pipe and some lower-than-the-driveway concrete (yay!).

This morning's tally of water that came through that light was more than four gallons. And that's just what I caught. The rug was, yet again, soaked from the initial downpour. At least it happened when I was home (though it did make me late for work) this time... last time all of it just sat on the rug for hours until I came home to find it squishy. The musty smell has returned to my apartment after this latest issue. This makes me unhappy. I would be so much less unhappy if the management here at Fireside Park would have at least returned my calls to the business office today.
The front lawn is a fundamental part of your house merely since it is the first place that your guests and your visitors pass through before they enter your house. If you don't want to identify as messy, you can always begin by making sure that using top lawn mower your front yard is neat and neat. There are plenty of ways to make your lawn a bit more attractive and desirable. If you wanted a kick start to a cleaner yard, preserve the grass in your yard.
Types of Lawn Mowers
Lawnmowers also face issues.
Here are 2 different lawn mower issues of each lawn mower type.
Because it is manual, the Reel-type lawn mower does not require fuel or batteries. The primary problem with it is the blades tend to get dull after a while. There is a secure service to that. All you need to do is sharpen it by utilizing a honing stone, or you can bring it to the producer to sharpen the blades. Make sure that you apply grease or oil to mechanical parts or movable parts so that you could ensure that it is running smoothly when you utilize it.
For electrical lawn mower, the primary problems that you would deal with when utilizing this are that the cable that connected to the lawnmower is not long enough. There are battery-powered electric yard mowers to resolve that issue, so forget about it. For gas-powered mower, the main problem is that it isn't environment-friendly. It utilizes gas, it produces a loud noise when it is running, and it also releases smoke much like any other engine would. It is the reason why the majority of people don't prefer this over different types of mower. Since of its affordable rate, some people pick it over the much more expensive ones.

A bit of an odd start to the day today. There was a call for volunteers to help out at a problem on the Worcestershire and Birmingham canal near Alvechurch close to Bittel reservoir. The first shift was at 10-11am and it would take me an hour to get there. The volunteer leader didn't update the message to say if the problem had been fixed in time so I had to make the call to leave anyway. Of course, half way into the journey, the first shift was called off. I decided to continue and see what transpired. I'm glad I did.
I met some other volunteers and some Canal and River Trust folk that I hadn't met before. I also learned about the problem with the safety gates. These are placed in the canal at either end of the reservoir wall. This is to stop the reservoir emptying should there be a breach in the canal itself. As this is a 14 mile stretch of water going all the way to Birmingham, this would be catastrophic too. The problem was that one of these safety gates did not fully retract back to the bottom of the canal when tested recently. We helped four boats through the site before closing the canal at 11am.
As the next shift was 3-4pm, I was advised that since I had come a long way it might be better to return home, which is what I did. The news then came up that the gate wasn't gong to be fixed for a couple of weeks and a volunteer rota was to be set up. However, by the late afternoon, the problem had been fixed and the navigation was fully open to boats. I'm therefore pleased that I made the call to go, see the problem and meet new people. Plus, it adds to my fund of canal yarns!
Later in the afternoon I took Mrs P to the specialist root canal dentist that she has been seeing. It has turned into a mystery with the ongoing problem and a CRT scan has been recommended. The saga continues.

OK, so there was one problem with the torpedo cable package, the cable ends didn't fit the trigger shifter so I crimped a spare SA end onto the cable. It's not pretty, but it works.
I'm actually not that down on Dora - they're engaging books for toddlers, accessible and participatory - but man, there's a lot wrong with this picture.
Despite my best efforts, though, Maya somehow knows that it's "Swiper", not "sniper", so I haven't been able to get her to say "sniper, stop sniping!" with any consistency.
