- The B14 represented at the October 1926 IAA Paris, as an entirely new model unrelated to its predecessors and fitted with a very lightweight chassis which was subsequently reinforced to make it more rigid.

- This car has a three-speed sliding manual non-synchromesh gearbox + reverse, shaft drive, a Solex sidedraft carburettor, a 25 liter fuel tank and rear wheel drive.

- The chassis with steel body has a 113 inch wheelbase, worm & roller steering, live front axle, single quarter elliptical leaf spring front suspension, twin quarter elliptical leaf spring with shock absorbers rear suspension, beam rear axle, steel disc wheels with 13x45 Michelin Superconfort tires and foot operated drum brakes all around.

- The concept of of "Project 356" was styled by Irwin Komenda in 1947. The name "356" was chosen as it was the 356th project off the Porsche design desk (in Gmünd/Kärnten, Austria).

- The final design (1948) was created by Ferdinand ("Ferry") Porsche, son of well-known Dr. Ing Ferdinand Porsche, founder of Porsche.

- On 8 June 1948 the Kärnten State Government issued a special permit homologating the car.

- The first Series of 52 additional cars (made of light alloy) were built in Gmünd, Kärnten - Austria and at the first shown at the 1949 Geneva Motor Show.

- The weight distribution 43.1% front and 56.9% rear gives a good weight balance for sporty driving.

- The 356 C Series (July 1963-April 1965) was available as this 2-door 2+2 seater fixed-head Coupé, as 2-door C Cabriolet (3,177 units built) and and as 2-door SC Cabriolet (3,065 units built), all built in Stuttgart - Germany.

- The Coronet "Coke bottle styling" was based on the Chrysler B-body platform, just like the Plymouth Belvedere and the Dodge Charger.

- It was restyled in 1968 and given a smoother, rounder profile, quad headlights incorporated into the full-width grille and the rear the taillights were incorporated into a full-width panel.

- It has a three-speed fully synchronized manual gearbox, a Carter BBD 4-barrel carburettor, a single dry plate clutch, dual exhaust system, bucket seats, a 72 liter fuel tank and rear wheel drive.

- The chassis has independent semi-elliptic leaf springs and torsion bar "heavy-duty" suspension at the front, semi-elliptic leaf springs at the rear, recirculating ball and nut steering and hydraulic self-adjusting drum brakes all around.

- The 440 Series came as Sedan, Coupé, Hardtop and Station Wagon (2-seats, 6 passengers and 3-seats, 9 passengers).

- A four-speed manual gearbox, an automatic Torque-Flite three-speed transmission, power steering, power windows, front disc / rear drum brakes, radio, air conditioning, a special tire-wheel package and speed control device were optional.

- The C-Series (AC4 and AC6: ("AC" for Andre Citroen and "4" for 4 cylinders or "6" for 6 cylinders) was launched at the Paris Motor Show in October 1928.

- They shared similar styling, albeit that the AC6 had a longer bonnet than its four cylinder sibling and a "SIX" monogram in the grille.

- The completely new AC 6, (with Citroëns first 6 cylinder ever) was Citroëns top model.

- The body is complete made of steel, rear wheel drive and three speed manual gearbox forward + a reverse gear.

- A foot operated pedal is operating on the front and rear (☺!) drums brakes.

- The front and rear suspension has semi elliptical springs.

- The C6s were very luxurious and could be delivered with a driver glass partition, a car radio (Citroën was the first European manufacturer to do so), acoustic telephone, etc..

- And in 1929, Citroën was the first to introduce one full year warranty on new cars.

- They were available in a range of 11 luxury bodywork options (5 "open" and 6 "closed").

- In 1929 the official name changed into A4 and A6.

- On October 1931, the C-Series is undergoing a revolutionary innovation that benefits its "le fameux "moteur flottant" (le sigle du "cygne Citroën"), the famous "floating engine", mounted in the C6G (2650cc / straight-6 / 50 bhp - 2700 rpm).

- The C4F became also a "moteur flottant", a 1767cc straight-4 with 32 bhp / 2.700 rpm..

- In fact, the processes were developed in response to the theoretical studies of vibrations by two French engineers, Pierre Lemaire and Paul Aubarède.

- The C6E Cabriolet is only made since the end of 1929.

- In 1930 a special C6 was offered to Pope Pius XI by the Italian subsidiary of Citroën.

- The number 98 indicates the rank of the vehicle within the brand. Models that are lower in rank were thus given a lower number, such as the Oldsmobile 76. This is the 98 considered the top car Oldsmobile.

- The Oldsmobile Ninety Eight corresponded to size and prestige moderate the luxury model of the sister brand Buick and was, along with the Buick Electra, second only to the models of the luxury brand Cadillac.

- The '56 model 98 was built on a "X-member" frame that had a wheelbase size of 126-inches, making them a four inches longer than the 88 models.

Imported into Photoshop with ProPhoto as my Working Space from Apple iPhone Profile to 16-Bit to SRGB and then converted to 8-Bit before saving to jpeg. I doubt this will print accurately because this is considerably outside the color print gamut.

The colors are in Prophoto RGB again, so it's a little icky. It's supposed to be yellowish grey, so it's not as far away from the original as the other photos I've been uploading lately.
