A Roman Street
The lane was short, forgotten, and darker than the rest of Buxton — a place lamps avoided. Moisture gathered in its cracks, glinting faintly like eyes in the stone. Steve with his Camp Snap camera felt heat rising from the ground, unnatural in midwinter. The old guide had said the Romans once marched this way — soldiers of the bathhouse road. Steve smiled at the thought, until the air turned thick and heavy, smelling faintly of iron and ash. Then came the sound: slow steps of something unseen, striking deeper than the asphalt, echoing through buried time. A whisper of Latin drifted past his ear — too close — and when he turned, a sound like rushing air rippled past his ear, yet no wind stirred. The warmth under his boots throbbed once, like a heartbeat!
Steve pressed the shutter and ran as if he was 50 years younger. 🏃 😉
The darkest street I could find to test the Camp Snap Pro low light capabilities.
And yes this is believed to be the route of a Roman street in Buxton.
Information gathered, the Camp Snap will reach a max of ISO 1600 in dark situations and the camera will use a minimum shutter speed of 1/30 second.
