During the "Printmaking in the Age of Rembrandt" exhibition at the Currier Museum of Art, Manchester, NH (on view September 29, 2012- January 6, 2013) visitors were invited to carve prints throughout October. Those plates will then be inked and printed during a "Steamroller Printmaking" event on Sunday, November 4 where we'll use an actual steamroller (yes, we mean the road construction vehicle) to produce multiple large-scale prints. These prints will be displayed in the museum's Community Gallery and Art Center.

Fun among the printmakers often turns up spectacles like this

Last year, Lucie taught a week's worth of art projects with the kids at Humble Hearts, teaching them to make linocut prints. Recently they made a whole new set of creative, original linocuts.

You can see some of last years' designs and order greeting cards made from the prints at angelcovers.org/greetingcards.html

These fabrics were all printed by myself in India. I attended a week long course facilitated by Skills Tourism to utilise local artisans in Mysore and showcase their skills. It was a busman's holiday for me as a printmaker but one of the best things I have ever done in India. If you ever get the opportunity, you must try it.
