Etching: Beginner & Advanced

Instructor’s Statement

Students explored the printmaking media, etching. The beginners learned basic techniques to create images on a zinc plate. Advanced students worked with aquatints to create the dark and light areas in their images. Techniques used in both classes are drypoint and etch using a weak acid. Students learned proper printing skills using a press.
